They call them "shakes" because they cannot legally call them "milkshakes", as they contain no milk. They don't even contain any kind of dairy product. You're better off just eating the straw.

Same here. I realized that nobody I know ever knocks on my door and it's never anyone I want to talk to. So I told my neighbors that if they need anything, to just call my cellphone and I'll meet them at the door. Haven't answered a knock in 4 years. My old house has never had a doorbell installed.
Our moms had that sunscreen that smells like coconuts. But us kids weren't about to waste valuable playtime putting on sunscreen. Every photo of me and my cousins in the '70s looks brown like that.
