I was beaten as a child by an alcoholic mother. I've never once acted out violently towards anything.

I have no problem with parents who spank their children so long as it's not excessive and as others have said, when the parent is angry.

We went to 2 McDonalds in Italy (we were trying to save money where we could lol). Neither of them had anything different than what you find here in the US. Both bathrooms were disgusting though. No toilet seats in either one of them, and the guys restrooms consisted of nothing but a nasty stained hole in the floor.

#3 was the worst, although the static noise in #1 was pretty awful as well.

After reading the article. I dunno. I sympathize with the woman.
No it wasn't right that she just pretty much shipped him off alone. Not condoning that behaviour at all.
BUT, I'm sure she wasn't expecting the child to act the way he did either.
I remember watching some news program (probably 20/20), that talked abou Russian orphans and how many of them do suffer from emotional problems.
I think it followed a couple who adopted 2? brothers from Russia, and both had emotional issues that they were at their wits end trying to deal with.

Anywho... was the way she handled the situation right? No, but I beieve that she was probably lied to as well.

And it's ridiculous for them to ban American's from adopting.

My husband had to work in poison control for a little while. He's a pharmacist and it was required course while he was in school.
He used to come home every day to tell me about the ridiculous calls he always got.
Dern, wish I could think of some of them, but it was such a long time ago.

Just imagine how much money it would bring in if it were legalized.
I don't see how it's any worse than alcohol in the way that it affects someone. And even tobacco can cause someone to get lightheaded and woozy.

I used to smoke weed as a teen, don't have any desire to now.
BUT I think it should be legalized. I just don't see the problem with it.

Yes the story is depressing, but I still find it interesting and it gets you thinking and discussing it.

I love this website. The info, articles, photos, videos, everything posted is always so interesting and entertaining to see. And I love how often this site updates. I always look forward to coming here and seeing the new articles :)
One thing I would change would be is to make it where a new window opens up when you click on the links & comments. Of course it's not hard to right click and select open in new window though so not really a big deal lol.
