AMEN I have worked with "gifted" kids whose parents wanted special programs, special this - special that. Before calling them "gifted" however, you may want to check to see if they can tie their shoes, eat properly or get on the right school bus.

Remember a place in the 80's and 90's called Glamour Shots? They were in every mall in America. They could make anybody look DOWNRIGHT PURDY in no time. They poofed up your hair, painted your lips red and slapped some hugh earrings on ya. Then WHAM took a picture to capture the moment. Oh, I forgot the lace gloves. Queen for a day!

I must be missing something. She doesn't look that bad to me. Some lipstick, some blush, different hair style... remember all you "really hot" people out there --- physical beauty is fleeting with age. No matter how often you moisturize.

Don't go to the library!! They are not "welcoming" places. All librarians act like they are loaning their own personal books to you. Instead buy books at thrift shops or garage sales. Goodwill is an excellent place to buy books because when you're done with them, you can turn around and donate them back. It's a win-win.

Attila the Hun...Hitler....Al Capone...and now Heidi Dalibor, a name that will go down in criminal history. Heidi, where did the system fail you? How can we get you back on the road of outstanding citizenship?? Make a donation to the library. Give them their dumb ass books back, give them the finger and start buying books at Half Price Books. Libraries are such snobby places. FREE HEIDI

Reminds me of when my husband and I were watching our bird feeder and a hawk flew down and pinned a bird to the driveway! I got up and knocked on the sliding glass door thinking that would scare the hawk and he would fly away. Yea, he flew away alright -- -- with the poor little birdie in his talons. Nature, ya gotta love it! Great picture of the finches. I loved the one of Mom all alone worried. Reminds me of when my son set off for the black hole called Indiana State at Terre Haute......it's a long story!

I've never read Little Women. Finished Jane Eyre last Spring and LOVED IT. I love anything by Steinbeck. Grapes of Wrath is a "must read." If there are a cazillion characters in a book I get bored. Never have tried War and Peace, Tale of Two Cities. Loved "Rebecca" and Frenchman's Creek. If a book spans more than 2 or 3 generations, FORGET IT. I can usually tell after 2 chapters if it's something I'm going to stick with. I have tried Wuthering Heights 5 or 6 times and just can't seem to get into it. The movie was great!!! Wonder if anybody else has had this problem with Wuthering Heights. Happy Reading. It's a great escape isn't it??!!

When I was little, a saw a picture of Eleanor Roosevelt and it scared me. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I was just a little kid and hadn't caught on to that thinking!
