Microscopes are very handy to have round the house anyway. I had to replace the shoulder switch on my son's Nintendo DSl the other day - without the stereo microscope it'd have been really hard to make sure all three solderpads had connected - the switch is about a 3mm cube and was surface mounted - the solder has to go underneath.

Yup - my blind friend just lets her finger hang over the edge of the cup. She must have asbestos fingers, and we've learned not to worry about a) her scalding herself or b) germy fingers. None of us have died yet.

She will keep putting milk in mine, though - but that's not a blind thing, loads of people do that.
