Can someone please explain to me how a heat greater than that of the sun can be contained by any man-made device such as is holding it now? If heat was applied to bend it into shape, wouldn't more heat... melt everything??

I'd rather wake up to my eyes burning from wasabi than... not wake up at all.

I wouldn't wake up to the smell of food, especially if it was in a deep sleep. But something as physically irritating as wasabi? Definitely.

I've heard that's the only tornado in RECORDED HISTORY to hit downtown Atlanta. 27 injuries, but fortunately no deaths. GA also got tornadoes elsewhere in the state... we were pretty pummeled.

If you're still reading after 190+ comments, I'm impressed. I'm Ashley, I'm 21 and in college, living in Georgia. I promise we're not as redneck as our westerly neighbors--at least we have Atlanta.

I'm studying to eventually be a veterinarian, probably a surgeon, hopefully either of difficult cases or exotics (I love tigers! And zebras!). I comment occasionally, but I always avoid the more controversial political or religious topics because people tend to argue without thinking, and it's too frustrating to deal with.

I'm also alot like Che above in that I tell people what I learned here and it's awesome!

Haha! I like Stacyj's idea of dressing him up and sending him out.

Aeris, we have warmbloods as a generic breed, hotbloods like Arabians and Thoroughbreds, drafts (probably your cold bloods), and ponies (shorter breeds). What are Iberians?

I'd like to point out to Louise that he is a Clydesdale, not a Shire, and it is a particular accomplishment for a Clydesdale to be as tall as a Shire. The breeds were developed separately--the Shire in England and the Clydesdale in Scotland.

I'm in college, not too far removed from the age Carrie is referring to as apparently being delicate. For one thing, he can take it. He's not going to develop a complex because she told him to go to school and get an education. He was chewed out, and I think he probably had it coming. She was a little harsh, but nothing a 17-year-old boy can't handle. Also Carrie, you were probably respectful, and it sounds like this boy was a jerk. There's a big difference.

Having raised hamsters, I can say that this is definitely true. They will seem like nice sweet boys as long as the dominant hamster is around, but if you remove the dominant hamster, inevitably at least one that had been bullied as juveniles turn to bullying the others.
