There's no evidence that Rumson's comment is any more correct than my comment, not even a link to another Neatorama post. I accept Neatorama as the ultimate authority in many of the important facets of my life, but not in this case.

The fact of the matter is that, as a result of his own actions, the old man was shot. He deliberately provoked the confrontation, and escalated a potentially violent situation into actual violence.

And he's proud of the fact. Would I have done the same thing? Maybe. But I've done some pretty stupid things, too.

That's why I always render an opinion on every topic, regardless of whether it's constructive or not.

There's just something naked about these cartoon characters that's mildly disturbing. I think it reminds me a little of the guy who posted a comment here a coupla years ago. He was a self-professed pedo who provided a link to a site where cartoon characters in nature settings - like genderless cherubs - were lolling around naked. Total creepfest.

ACtually, no, Rumson, the chances of getting shot by a robber are fairly low. In fact, the chances decrease the longer the robber delays. If he's not going to shoot you within the first 30 seconds, your chances of survival actually improve, if you remain cooperative and reasonable.

You're more likely to be shot by a family member than in a home invasion.
