I'm not sure why you use the term "nazi" to talk about censorship. Nazis are better known for their propaganda, which included censorship, I'm sure, but it wasn't the cornerstone of their agenda.
With so many other people and regimes throughout history as censors, you have a wealth of examples to choose from. Who was the guy who painted the loin cloths on all the naked guys in the Sistine Chapel? Too obscure? Maybe refer to Bowdler, the dude who cleaned up Shakespeare.
