Ted's Comments

myrasam,
First they came for the its, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an its.

Then they came for the alots, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an alot.

Then they came for the everydays, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an everyday.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.

About Waldo: the point of the Waldo books are to get you to scour them meticulously to find Waldo. So it's not exactly odd that someone would look at the pictures in detail. It's the point of the book! that's why he puts characters in there doing funny things. And maybe having naked women in it isn't exactly appropriate for a childrens book.

And to list these books as banned in the USA is ignoring the narrow regional aspects of each incident. As for the USA bashers, maybe you may want to check the free-thinking bookstores in Iran or China.

Um, at first glance it just looks like he hit puberty. Maybe placing it so close to the X-men Mutant Puberty article wasn't a good idea.

Sounds peachy keen to me. People need to lighten up a little. Of course, maybe it wouldn't be good for the answering machine at a morgue, but hey, that's pretty obvious.

The only downside is that there will be callers with equally bitter responses as the ones shown here. But I would rather talk to an upbeat happy person than a negative "I haven't received a pay raise in 4 years, so I deserve to treat people like crap" person.

Maybe that's a steam-roller and not a chariot?

I would guess that the weight of whatever they were buried under flattened them out. Same thing happened with the dinosaurs. Maybe Ryan can refer you to a scientific paper on the subject.

My "why would someone film something this asinine" had less to deal with the reality of the film clip and more to do with the asinineness of the actions. Sadly, people film themselves doing all sorts of tedious and silly things all the time, and it's not quite a case of infinite monkeys typing Shakespeare, which would admittedly be more entertaining to watch than this.

Enjoy your time in the sun, guy in redshirt (if that is your real name). If Star Terk has taught us anything, you do not have long to live.

Does it have to be funny to be neat? Does it have to be happy to be neat? Does it have to be neat to be neat?

It's certainly unusual...
