Anthony, yeah, because there are no easier ways than to spend countless hours and countless dollars in the tattoo chair to get attention. But hey, if that's what you have to justify this with to be able to cope with people doing what they want to themselves and loving doing it that's your perogative.

Ray, why unemployable? I'm a modified person, visibly modified, I know there are many places that would never employ me because of my modifications. That's fine by me, I wouldn't want to work for such a narrow-minded employer anyway. It's a choice you have to take, but trust me he's not unemployable and neither are other people with similarly extensive mods. Besides, there's always the choice of starting your own business if you can't get a job or haven't secured your economical future some other way. If I knew I needn't ever worry about my economy again I'd do sometime similar as he did (though other motifs) though as it is I don't have the balls to take that full step. Kudos to him that he does.

You could probably make a real transparent toaster with the aid of temperature proof glass and coils of wire threaded in grooves in the glass. It won't be entirely transparent due to the wire, but at least it'll be largely transparent.

"Exploit" isn't a negative term by itself, it entirely depends on the context its used in. When it comes to for instance coal mining or deforestation in South America the meaning of "exploit" becomes more like "parasite". It's trying, quite deliberately, with the use of words that has become charged through popular media to convey a message that is the opposite than what the shirt may lead you to believe.

Though, I suspect a lot of people won't get that, especially those that have come to the conclusion that the earth's resources need to be used responsibly by being indoctrinated instead of having thought about and investigated the topic themselves. In the end it's a cute and novel idea, but it will without a doubt have the opposite effect than the creators intended. To me this is just white noise.

Finger moustaches has been growing in popularity over the last couple of years. Can't remember who really started with it, but I can't imagine it becoming commonplace outside of people who are otherwise rather modified.

Tinderbox, "apparently mentally ill"? Why would someone be mentally ill, apparent or not, just because one chooses to adorn him or herself in various ways? Since when could you make a definite call about one's mental health simply by looking at a picture, or short video clip, of them? Armchair psychology at its finest, really. Everyone thinks they're an expert yet most people don't know what they're talking about.

"who worked tirelessly to help the poor, sick and orphaned in Kolkata, India"

If by "worked" you mean "left them to die in crampt dormitories without having access to their families" and by "tirelessly" you meant "traveled the globe amassing vast amounts of money from various uninformed benefactors", then yeah, right on the money.

Whether she was atheist/agnostic or not is indeed another question, though in my book only someone blind by devotion (not necessarily religious devotion) could do something like that.

"Far be it from me to judge what other people do..."

Yet that is exactly what you do in the sentence right before that one. Make up your mind.

What is to say that the other people have no reason for what they have done? Just because you don't know their reason doesn't mean that they don't have a reason.

Attention seeking? Yeah, because there are no other, easier ways, to seek attention than to spend tousands of dollars, countless hours and quite a bit of pain and discomfort? Top Leppard who you mention for instance lives really remote and only really goes into society once a week or so to pick up groceries. That's attention seeking if I ever saw it, whoa!

Is it so hard to think before opening your mouth, or in this case pushing keys on your keyboard?

It's missing a lot of people, such as Bruce Potts and Matt Gone for instance, and plenty of other people who would also fit into the top ten. Or how about Michael Jackson or Jocelyne Wildenstein? Plastic surgery is also body modification after all.

It's rather astounding that so many people were if not fooled at least questioned the validity of the videos. It's easy as pie to pick out the errors, like for instance that all the palm trees look EXACTLY the same, that just doesn't happen.
