Oh give me a break, they're just pronouns. How can you say you're tolerate of others' decisions to live their lives as they feel they need to but say they need to maintain the labels they were sometimes wrongly given? Have you ever heard a transgendered person describe the struggle they feel realizing they're trapped in a body they don't feel they belong in? It's heart-wrenching. I hope all your children find themselves in similar circumstances so you can feel front-row the pain people go through trying to be happy in their ill-fitting skin.
On another note, I don't think this guy had any reason to broadcast his story all over the news and milk it on every talk show for so long, I think it was unnecessary and just made a spectacle of the transgendered community.
I have never had a problem with arranged marriages, and have always thought that if they were more accepted here (in the US), I'd look into them. I don't know, it just doesn't seem like a bad idea. You meet someone you know you're going to spend the rest of your life with, and you get to know them, understand them, then you learn to trust them, then you learn to love them. I imagine it's stronger than a fleeting love affair. I don't feel the same way about arranged marriages involving young girls and older men, however.
I dunno, "bad boys" are usually more fun, know how to flirt and make you feel excited; they know what they want and they get it. The "nice guys" who complain about finishing last are usually last because they're boring or they try too hard.
