OK, this has always baffled me: The NY State unemployment office saves $ with ATM cards because they don't have to pay postage - fine. I claim online, which saves everyone time and money - fine.

HOWEVER, I don't understand why they waste postage to inform me every time I claim on a holiday week that I don't get benefits for holidays. I know that, I'm the one who said I had a holiday when I claimed for the week!

A tick walks into a bar and asks, "Is the bar tender here?"

Jesus walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Close the door, were you born in a barn?"

A jumper cable walks into a bar, and the bar tender says, "Don't start anything."

Two guys walk into a bar... you'd think the second guy would have ducked!

Good job, but I wouldn't agree that the original was tired or needing updating (beyond the HDTV resolution.) Maybe it was too much of a reminder of how much funnier the show was a generation ago.

Although an interesting idea, Bullworth had 3 major flaws:

1) This was the biggie - the underlying idea was that white people everywhere in modern America are responsible for all the poverty, gang violence, and ills of the black people. Furthermore, only a white politician can save them.

2) Warren Beatty rapping. Not only does he rap, but it first recorded, then horribly dubbed in, without any sense of the acoustics in the surrounding scene.

3) I know Hollywood has had older man/younger women dynamics for years, but seriously - Halle Berry in love with grandpa Beatty?

I've taken a few college courses online at the University of MD, and felt completely scammed. The teacher is nothing more than a homework grader. All the information was in the book. I felt that if I just wanted to learn the information, I could have gotten the book and learned by myself (as I was doing) without paying through the nose for the credits.

Isn't this what our entire consumer-based economy is founded on? Trying to make people as unhappy as possible, and getting them to think buying crap they don't need (or to "ask their doctor" for a little happy pill)?

This grates against my inner objectivist, but the key phrase here is "company that accepts federal bailout money." She's absolutely right - these idiots shouldn't be getting bonuses with tax dollars. But then again, the government shouldn't have handed these horses' rectums a free check to thank them for ruining the economy in the first place.

I'm sorry, do you honestly expect me to believe that citizens in other countries say, "Gee, the U.S. is having an employment crisis - let's buy American to help them out."? I don't think so - but for some reason every other country is allowed to have a "me first" attitude except America. It comes down to taxes. If I'm paying my government taxes, then that government should be looking out for my interests, just as every citizen of every other government in the world demands their leaders be looking out for theirs.

Economy comes down to supply and demand, and America's role in supplying was cut out from under our feet decades ago. Now we're looking at another great depression and asking "What happened? Why are there no jobs?" #2 in Austin powers said it best - there is no "World" anymore, only corporations. The Global Economy wouldn't be bad if there were some balance, but there is none. The "Global Economy" means cheap junk is made in other countries and America's middle class buys it. What's the point of having a minimum wages, unions, and labor laws if everyone can just contract out slave labor in other countries?
