Edward 1's Comments

The next time some tight-fisted, "my son can make websites" client asks me for advice, I am going to send him this video. It is perfect, he will understand neither the genre nor the subject matter.

Oh, yeah. I should add: Dude knows design. Note the whitespace before and after the text, the general lack of clutter as well as the subtle message on his shirt.

As someone else pointed out, it is impossible to actually diagnose your computer in a forum like this. All we can do is offer possible solutions for you to check.

1. Do not blindly upgrade a poorly working computer. Unless an expert looks at your computer and tells you you need more RAM, it will likely be a waste of money. Same goes for Leopard. Why spend $300 on upgrades when a new Mini cost $600?

2. Test with another keyboard. Yes, it could simply be that yours is broken.

3. Run your Mac in Safe Mode. Complete power down. Start Button. Lean on the shift key until the gray apple appears.

If the typing works in Safe Mode, then the problem is with software and not the OS or your hardware.

4. If it is software, uninstall everything that you do not use.

5. You should be backing up your computer every day no matter what problems you are or are not having. If you cannot figure out how to do it with the equipment at hand, buy an external hard drive that comes bundled with software.

6. Find a tech. If your career depends on your computer, it is fatally foolish to depend on advice from forums for your support.

The Economist has been running articles about new battery technology for over 20 years. So far, none of their predicted breakthroughs have occurred.

Of more importance, is the core ecological problem with electric cars. The electricity needs to be generated somewhere. Just because the pollution is not being generated inside the car does not mean that it is not being generated at all.

Damn!!! This is fun! No one knows shit and we all are having a great time trying to brag bout our personal ignorance.

Personally, I am happy that Europe is building this sort of toy instead of trying to take over the world by attacking our dollar.

I enjoy seeing well trained and well cared for animals perform. It can be a credit to the trainer and the pet. That being said, this is torturing animals for the amusement of humans and I find it repulsive.

Sorry to disagree, but that ride is a prime piece of Disney real estate and should be stellar. The puppets and the sets look tired and certainly need help.

The grandeur and honor of the United States is all over the park. I, for one, do not begrudge the rest of the world their 10.5 minutes of fame.

The modern Disney characters are being placed where they belong as visual clues for youngsters who grew up with those films. Reverse commercialism actually: using a well known character to help educated.

I personally think that the boats are being redesigned to move faster and the finished ride will take about 6 minutes to complete.

"We object in the strongest possible terms to this post - these animals are psychopaths, torturers and murderers."

Which is exactly why this offender is incarcerated.

What about the delusion that all women find me sexually attractive?

How about the one where every person in the room thinks they know the names of the Seven Dwarfs, but they each have a different answer and they are all wrong?

Can we combine them? Does anyone else only think of witty comebacks to the alien actors that are impersonating friends and colleagues right after they leave the room?

How about the delusion that people all over the Internet are interested in my comments?

Please allow me to correct an error in my previous post. While MAOIs are antidepressants as are SSRIs, fluoxetine hydrochloride (Prozac) is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class.

When "science" does not match human experience, we need to question the study, not ourselves. Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors have improved the lives of many families.

Without access to the raw data, I cannot comment on specifics. My prediction is that this study combined results from multiple trials that should not have been grouped together.

Am I the only one who finds it scary that a coffee shop has one surveillance camera for three parking spots? Does that mean they have a dozen covering the entire exterior of the place? Do they have that much trouble or are they just that paranoid?

I loved it!

However, most karate bricks are treated before they are chopped: Soaking wet, in a pan of water, baked at 95C for a few hours. (or something similar)
