that's so cool Frau...you, making this so many years ago - and in Mr Barker's art class of all places. what are the chances? you really should consider producing a series of well-made videos of ALL of the things you made in Mr Barker's art class - or anywhere else, circa any time else - and posting them on Youtube for everyone to use and enjoy. that way, we'll all know that you've 'been there & done that' first and we can learn from your experience. you know, not everyone had the advantage of snagging Mr B's class as an elective - not for lack of trying. heck, i'd commit a crime just to get my hands on a copy of his syllabus.

you are aptly named, nutbastard. i say we let 'em 'practice' drinking/texting while driving within a 1 mile radius of your home
and only when your loved ones are on the road or your kids are out playing in/near the street.

you're so ridiculous that i hope you're kidding...sadly, even if you are, there are plenty who really do think like that out there.

we should drive like every car on the road carries one of our loved ones inside...because it might.

wow. imagine being the first people to come upon this beautiful place...i wonder how often it's empty - like in the photos. does anyone know if tourists descend on it? hopefully it's far enough out of the way to go unspoiled by people for as long as possible.

@ShuggyShugs...i posted a thank you message to you for leading me to the hilarious Shatner & Walken vids - but it's being reviewed for something so isn't showing up yet.

@cuimhne...thank you too for the link. it's leading me to other similar vids. i appreciate your help.

@Palimpsest36...thank you too. through that link i was able to finally find what i was looking for...CelebrityAutobiography.com. they are now doing these readings on stage - mostly in NY. however, there are oodles of videos of them on YouTube under the same name as the website. i can't wait to dig in and watch all of them...finally.

thanks to everyone that helped me out - i sincerely appreciate it.

@ShuggyShugs...thank you! those were great - and that's EXACTLY the kind of thing i'm talking about.

when i was watching the clips you hooked me up with, which were great - again, thanks! - but i did watch Christopher Walken's reading of 'Poker Face' 3x. Shatner and Walken are both hilarious.

the only comedian whose name i remember from the show i'm looking for, is one of my faves, David Cross...but it's not the GoodP***y video. although that's really funny. as i remember, it was just a short segment near the end of the show. the comedian would be onstage with just a mic and a stool and they'd read from celebrity biographies. i remember someone reading Leona Helmsley's bio. any additional info or search words/phrase suggestions would be appreciated.

again, ShuggyShugs, thanks so much for taking the time to hook me up. much appreciation.

sorry for the long post - but i must find that show and this seems like my best shot.

loved it!

does anyone remember a stand-up comedy show on tv - within the last 10 years or so - where different celebrities would read from various bios. i've been looking for them online but i can't remember what the show was called and all my searches have come to naught. if anyone knows what the heck i'm talking about...can you help me out? thanks...i hope.

hey 1101,

good post, i competely agree with EVERYTHING you said. i also accept those 'gentle corrections' from friends in the spirit in which they were intended. you sound like you would do the same.

when i wrote my first post, i guess i was only thinking about people correcting the written word/grammar. what you -1101- wrote was exactly how i feel about "sharing" (that sounds SO much better than 'correcting')my thoughts about the spoken word. btw, for me, it would only be about a word - not syntax. english is a living language - let it breathe and grow y'all. expressions and 'word arrangements' fall in and out of favor through the generations and even just different regions. so just relax and it'll all work out...like it always has.

i don't understand why adults feel the need to correct other adults. well, unless the first comment applies to you or, if you're doing it as a favor for someone to save them embarrassment in the event that they're writing something that others will see. beyond that, i don't see why anyone else cares. if those who do it think that it makes them appear smart - it doesn't. it really, really doesn't. everyone knows you're not doing it to educate - you're doing it to show that you know the proper way to do what 'the other guy' didn't. hooray for you! go write a book or give a lecture or something - somewhere where people will appreciate you. as long as i can understand what the person is saying/writing, that's good enough for me.

accepting the fact does not mean that i need to see it pop up unexpectedly. i would prefer to be given the choice to see it or not - perhaps i would like to "fully face the truth..." a little later on - not sandwiched in between a video of 'Adorable Bunny Rabbits in Paper Cups' and a post about 'Light-Sensitive Musical Instrument is Played by Moving Your Fingertips'.

i hate when someone i haven't heard from in a while finally emails me back...but it's some dumb 'joke', sentiment or photo-set with no personal greeting - that they sent to me and 20 others.

an email about how special i am that they want me to send back to them. WHY?!? oh, and they also sent it to 20 other people.

i have never once complained about a post here but...this one is definitely something i do NOT want to see a photo of. i despise animal testing - although i know that some of it is necessary. what's NOT necessary is posting a photo of one of these unfortunate animals with its brain exposed, strapped into a 'RatCar'. i can't unsee that photo and that is not only NOT NEAT, it sucks.
