I've often wondered about a rifle with a thermal scope that would not fire unless it was pointed at a living target. You simply hold the trigger down and it'll go off at the optimal moment. You could do the same for an assault rifle, which would make it possible to clear a room without being able to see anything. Scary stuff, though.
if it fits in the package, what difference does it make what 'it' is?
it's a stupid distinction that should not be made. the contents are irrelevant. if whatever you're mailing meets the size and weight requirements then what, exactly, is the problem? it's an arbitrary, useless rule
How about this one? I was fined $150 for crossing the street, in a crosswalk, with not a single car in sight, at 10am on easter sunday, in a down town area (Santa Cruz) where crossing the street outside of crosswalks is common all day every day.
out here the real problem is the feeble minded sheeple who wont cross the street without stopping traffic for 40 seconds by pushing the stupid pedestrian signal button.
of course the cops who hand out jaywalking tickets to people who are crossing the street in a crosswalk may be to blame.
halve the speed of traffic and you double the time spent on the road. the faster people can get on and off a road, the more people that road can service.
i know its a prototype, but come on, i thought you guys were German. needs more go.
except that we wrongfully convict people all the time, dirty cops plant drugs on people, and we aren't all in agreement about what should and shouldn't be illegal, especially regarding consensual crimes like drug use and prostitution.
Ah yes, substitution rationalization. I use it all the time, mostly to justify small to medium purchases.
Feeling apprehensive about blowing $50 on a nice dinner? Well, you could easily get a blowout or break your iPod at any time. Hell, you could seriously mis-shift and blow out your synchros, or you could drop a knife on your toe and have to visit the old ER. The point is, a million things beyond your control could deprive you of a lot more money than a $50 treat for yourself.
The other way is to look at past purchases that you found a really good deal on. Paid $50 less than retail for something else lately? A penny saved is a penny earned, you know, and if you'd not bothered to be a savvy shopper, you'd be out $50 more right now anyway. And what's the point of saving money by savvy shopping other than to have (and spend) the difference?
used to be able to do 8 up my nose until i found out that hepatitis exists, and what it is. between that and the little ridges sawing at my nostrils on removal, i've given it up.
The email purge policy is just a way for them to cover their ass and destroy documents and evidence. Awesome.

only on the inside.
