As the owner of about 90 board/card games, I can say such a list is almost impossible to make (highly subjective). Oddly, I do not own some of the games on that list.
I would recommend boardgamegeek.com if anyone is interested in trying to learn more about what is out there and building their own list.
I definitley agree with Pandemic and Settlers of Catan! And while I wouldn't put Agricola near the top, my husband would call it number 1 or 2.

I have a cute little Polio on my bookshelf. They had a booth at Comic Con, so I bought a bunch for family and friends! I remember them selling out at the convention too...

OH, Dr. Salthouse, you found me on Neatorama!
(the lab I work in studies cognitive development/ decline, and as a lowly 1st year, I've been reading up on his articles!)
lol at Robolasse!
But truthfully, I think we over-estimate the horror of normal cognitive aging. Frankly, when your brain is pretty much done growing, it has to do that other thing now ;D

As a science nerd, I find this amazing and awe-inspiring.
As a sci-fi geek, I just shake my head in amazement that everyone forgets how this will turn out. (Disaster prevention hint: Don't let the robot have WiFi!)
I suppose I should prepare to welcome our Rattus Cyborg overlords.

I concur. Mad control groups are important to world domination experiments. Though a double-blind mad study might be difficult to conduct.

I love that movie, and love the pictures accomplished in this photo set. The creepiest where the giant snow man decorations looking down at the empty world.

That is impressive, but as with the Ace of Cakes syndrome, I'd feel very guilty eating them :(

I love that more craft links have been featured (I frequent Etsy and Craftster, but this perplexes me. Both sites have much more to offer...

I recently took a business trip to Sweden, and though I did not eat at McDonald's, the inside of the one I was near was VERY nice and always had families inside. Also, I found out that in Sweden the McDonald's competitor there is called MAX.
