Maybe it's just me but that seems more unsanitary than anything...and besides, who's to say he'll remember to take that monstrosity off more than he remembered to put the seat up?

well the main problem with global "warming" is that it's really not all warming at all...like alex said, there are more EXTREMES. I have never heard an intelligent argument against the fact that humans are impacting the environment to the point that it's becoming FAR more extreme than before; almost every single naysayer only attacks the "warming"...which is NOT our only problem.

Just a note dave, we dont use data from just the last 100 years. Learn the facts about research methods before you bash them, ok?

We have ice cores from icebergs, like in antarctica and greenland, that date back approximately 40,000 years at the bottom (that we can get to-it goes down much farther) that can accurately tell the average temperature of the earth at that location at that time to within approximately 3 degrees. And you know what? Extrapolation works well when you have that much data. Of course we aren't the hottest we've ever been...what about when the earth was formed?

We're only talking about human impact though, and the data that we include in figuring this out DOES include 2 ice ages and several mini ice ages, along with many very hot spells and just about everything in between. While I'm not going to say definitively whether or not humans are the main cause of this increase in temperatures until we have more data and better ways to interpret it, I can say that the data is definately pointing to humans having at least some impact on it.

I never liked Bizarro very much. It just never struck me as funny...as for the animal advocacy/veganism message, I think Get Fuzzy gets it across a little better with their much better humor. It catches my attention much more.

But that's just my opinion.

Tinderbox, I think a more appropriate analogy would be like Michael Jackson, what with his 50-foot robot that he wanted to build to shoot lasers into the sky. Paris Hilton may be self-absorbed, but she's nowhere close to organized or insane enough to pull this off.

I hope she doesn't talk like that normally. If she does I'm surprised she doesn't have a black and blue face...I, for one, would have a very hard time not hitting her for talking like that.

At the very least they could have tried implanting it into the biological mother a couple months before they tried implanting it into the surrogate. I'm all for surrogacy if you don't want to adopt and can't have a stable pregnancy, but honestly...it seems a little short-sighted to go "Hey let's implant it into the biological mother as well! It wont take, so who cares, at least we'll have one from the surrogate!"
