Well I vote for Irish - Gaeilge as it's now here.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_language
It's impossible! By law, all Irish children spend a massive 12 years learning this impossible language and a bare handfull can speak it fluently when they leave school.

What to know some of its'f madness? Ok, in Irish, we add letters called séimhiú and urú http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_initial_mutations . Basically these are added to words to make them easier to say, so if I wanted to say, pen I would say "peann". If I wanted to say my pen, I would say "mo pheann" and if I wanted to say your en it would be "bhur bpeann".

Hard enough yet? Well the letter you put it changes according to personal pronouns and other things, but it also changes according to the first letter of the word. So we had "bpeann" for pen, but what about horse or "capall"? Well in that instance it's still "mo chapall" for my horse, but now it's "bhur gcapall" for their horse.

And if you wonder why some Irish people can't just say yes or no to a question, that's because Irish has no yes and no words! We just use the negative & positive of the verb in question, so if someone askes "An bhfuil sé ag cur baiste? is it raining? you say Sea, or Ni shea (it is or it isn't)

And that's before we get into the weird tenses, the exceptions to the rules (more exceptions than rules to be frank)the regional dialects, the pronunciation, the bonkers spelling, etc etc etc! Still, it's a great language!^_^ Anyway, here's a pretty old irish langauge film - I picked it because it'd give you a fairly accurate version of Irish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxFpWRNhySI

Yeah this is all about respecting other people (not to sound like an idiot) the customer should be polite to the staff and vica versa - I used to work in retail and a bit of politeness made your day so much easier, especially when you had stock phrases to repeat 1000000 times a day! If you have to go to a big chain just try to be nice to the poor unfortunate staff members; store policy is hardly their fault!

Anyway, here in Ireland people are pretty forgiving about lingo, for instance, we say "chips" instead of fries and even McDs don't get annoyed when we ask for a small chips with our burger ^_^ Starbucks are only just making inroads here in the last 5 years or so and I've heard people saying small/medium/large and tall/grande/venti and being served just the same.

I work in a computer games company and my title is "Associate Artist" I work in photoshop, with a wacom tablet creating images and animation, is that not Art? How can it not be? The questions is not where is the line between art and entertainment but why is there a line at all.

Anyway, discussions on "what is art?" are not new and have been going on for centuries. Most modern artists understand the concept that if you think it's art, it is art, but it may only be art for you. Anything can be considered art, a famous example is Duchamp's Fountain,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fountain_%28Duchamp%29
which was considered art simply because it was displayed in an art gallery. I think Contempory Art has employed such a very broad understanding of art that the artistic community must include computer games, film, animation, advertising and many other "crafts" as art and be prepared to judge them as such whether they are entertaining, or amusing or silly or even ugly.

Like lots of the people commenting here,I'm an animator. To be honest, reusing animation was a pretty common practise, films like Snow White had hours and hours of live action footage for reference. Is it a crime to reuse references? Look at centuries of artists who have used the same models & poses for their work.

Plus you have to remember the aim of these films wasn't just to entertain, its to make money. Hand drawn animation is incredibly expensive and effort was made throughout the process to cut costs and increase profit. These scenes aren't "acting" scenes, they're just action scenes-scenes which were usually given to junior animators on lower salaries. Not only that, animators were paid by the feet of footage they created, not the hours they put in doing it. Again, you can understand people trying to increase their productivity in order for a bit of extra money.

It's not a terrible crime that the animation was reused, it doesn't ruin the plot nor are the actions out of character. In short, it's amusing that they were so blantant about it but hardly worth arguing about!

Ah, there are times when I really do feel proud to be Irish...this is one! We LOVE prank calls in Ireland - as long as they're in good fun.

Here's another ancienct but brilliant Irish prank call:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YwQ9mRyBjc
this is the premise - you get two phones, use one to call one Garda (police) station, use one to call another garda station and hold the phones up to each other...hilarity insues. Just be careful not to call in times of emergency, obviously ^_^ but since very little happens in Castlebar I'm sure whoever did this thought it'd be fine....

Yeah when I was in Sicily there "Brioche Con Gelato" was almost a daily treat for us! It was amazing, a bready bun, not your usual brioche, and they slit it in two and filled with 2-3 scoops of amazing sicilian gelato. The brioche itself doesn't even get soggy, something about the kind of bread. Perfect for those long hot days and way better than a siesta! I wish I could get them here!
