When people say 'It's capitalism people, get a clue!'...you might as well say 'It's cancer people, get a clue!' ... because unrestrained growth- for the sake of growth- is the ideology of the cancer cell too.
Take it would a healthy dose of skepticism! ...a lot of bias can enter a poll that tries to quantitate 'nice', 'polite,' and 'rude' etc. These are very subjective and depend on preconceptions to a great degree.(for instance, I know some people in the Midwest that consider others 'rude' if they merely opt out of the rather vapid "have a nice day!" banality.)
People must be far more 'with it' there... around here, they would just be confused, and there would be a lot of accidents. Now I know what you are thinking... we are not really a bunch of inbred idiots, there are just a lot of older people, that's all.
Try 'Last Laughs: The 1986 Mystery Writers of America Anthology.' Crime can be have a lighter side. It's mischief with a wry twist! I found the stories very entertaining. (You can get it through Amazon, and elsewhere.)
Well, I have noticed for a long time that people always had enough money to lose gambling at the casinos in Nevada, Atlantic city, Tahoe, riverboats, etc... they wasted a lot of money doing that! I guess now they will just have to buy gas with some of that money. They have always had money for what they really wanted to do!
What horrible things people do in the name of God to justify their hatred ....it is amazing that many Americans don't see this for what it is, and make this unacceptable hate speech...for example, if the sign that had said "blacks(ni*****), hispanics(s***), asians, etc etc make me sick!", people would be outraged...but for some reason, in America, people can't see that. Canada has laws against hate speech like this. At least they reconize that it is not 'freedom of speech'.. it is just hatred, in the name of God!, pure and simple.
