True Facts: Trap Jaw Ants



From a human perspective, trap jaw ants are just plain weird. Ze Frank presents them by following an ant named Mildred, a mentally-ill daughter of a dysfunctional family. Of course, that lifestyle is just normal for her species of ant. Her jaws snap so hard that it throws her body backwards, a side effect that these ants have harnessed for survival purposes.
