The Abandoned Church That Looks Like a Clucking Chicken Deep in an Indonesian Jungle

Many years ago, Daniel Alamsjah of Jakarta experienced a mystical vision. He saw a dove with its beak open, as though it were chirping. In 1989, while traveling hundreds of miles away in central Java, he saw a section of jungle that looked exactly like the landscape surrounding the dove in his vision. He realized that this was the place where God wanted him to build a church.

So he did. Amalsjah built his church in the shape of a dove where for several years it served as a rehabilitation center for drug addicts and troubled youth.

The project was never completely finished, but local residents are familiar with the Gereja Ayam—the Chicken Church, as they have named it. It attracts many sightseers, as well as pilgrims of many faiths who visit it. You can see more photos of the Chicken Church at the Daily Mail.

I can just see Indiana Jones breaking into this church.
The scene shows him breaking trail into the jungle, trademark whip and hat doing their respective jobs. Machete in hand, he clears the last vegetation from the door, and enters. Within, is the golden Artifact, which he will 'recover' for, uh, 'scientific research'.
He circumvents all of the traps left behind, and emerges from the building, and the camera zooms back, panning upwards, until you see them both in-frame: Indiana Jones and the gigantic chicken temple!
