How to Dye Your Armpit Hair

I've never dyed my armpit hair, so I was a bit surprised at the complexity of the task. There's more to it than just slathering on dye with a brush.

Roxie Hunt is a stylist at Vain, a salon in Seattle. She has a lot of experience with dyeing hair, but never armpit hair. Rain, one of her colleagues, volunteered to be her test subject. Hunt used a mixture of bleach, 30 volume developer, and two shades of blue dye. Rain had to hold her arms up while the dye dried. But the wait was worth it: for 2 weeks, she had armpits with a rich shade of blue.

It's worth noting that there's nothing wrong with having armpit hair or dyeing it. Rain has different fashion preferences than many of us do and that's okay.
