That’s not really the aim of this list; it’s about the presidential portrayals we enjoyed watching the most. When I got to #2 (my personal favorite), I knew who #1 would be. Still, I think Kevin Kline’s character in the movie Dave should have been included. Shown here is Bill Pullman as the US president in Independence Day. Link -via the Presurfer

With all the hoopla surrounding a new president, we sometimes forget what was said in the farewell address of the outgoing president. In today’s Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss, test your recall of the last official words from various presidents. Can you match the president with the words of wisdom he dropped on the way out? I couldn’t; I got only one right and scored a measly 14%! Link

In today’s Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss, see if you can match ten former US presidents to their official portrait. Don’t expect to see the presidents you remember from the news or the ones on the money. This is hard! I scored 40%. Link

On January 20th, Barack Obama will become the first black US president. Today’s Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss looks back at some other presidential firsts. Who was the first president for eleven different questions? I only scored 45%, because, um, I didn’t know the answers! But I learned quit a bit. Link

Today’s Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss will tell how well you really know your American history. Who was president at the time these events occurred? Not easy! I scored 77%, but that’s only because I’m old enough to remember the events as they happened! Link
