This Crazy Fellow Wants To Sell You Some Cubelets

(YouTube Link)

This guy may look like he owns a windowless van, and hangs out near elementary schools, but he actually has other plans for children- he wants to sell them overpriced robotic toys.

Called Cubelets, they are a set of modular robotic cubes which can be combined into simple robots, and cost a whopping $25 apiece.

All kidding aside, this is a great idea for a product but seems extremely overpriced, and they should definitely consider hiring a spokesman who doesn't look quite so creepy. Besides, who really needs these when there are so many cool motorized LEGO sets available?

Mortal Kombat Flash Dancers Strike Again

(YouTube Link)

When the Mortal Kombat flash dancers come to your town, you'd better not get in their way, because their mad skills have been known to cause FATALITIES!

These wacky dancers are here to make New York forget all about Occupy Wall Street, and their erratic behavior brings a smile to the faces of those who happen to catch them in action, except of course for the hapless store owners, who are clearly not amused by the show.

Cover Version Of Daft Punk's Derezzed Performed On Floppy Drives

(YouTube Link)

Never has an instrument used to play a cover song been more appropriate than this-using five floppy drives, and a bit of software, to cover the Daft Punk hit Derezzed.

It's a crunchy, minimalist sound that's sure to make robots of all types bob their heads to the beat, which will probably put most humans on edge. Glowing helmet not included.

A Handy App That Identifies Fonts Used On Websites

Have you ever wanted a particular font used on a website for yourself? A new app, called Fount, is here to help you identify these fonts, and it works like a charm!

After dragging the Fount button to your bookmarks bar as instructed, it sits there waiting for you to call it to action. Click the Fount button, then use the crosshair to click and identify any font on any webpage (except for text being used as a link, for some reason). It even tells you the size, style and character weight.

Now you can complete your collection of fonts, or figure out which fonts a website is using, and gain some style points at the same time.

Aerodyne Art Deco Inspired Computer Case Mod

If you thought only Steampunk enthusiasts used wood in their creations guess again, and if you're a woodworker/DIYer like myself, here's the inspiration for your next project!

This gorgeous wooden modded computer tower case by Jeffrey Stephenson looks like tech from the Mad Men era, something they probably would have mistaken for an intercom or radio in the 1960s.

This case mod makes my boring old metal case look like crap, and is guaranteed to make all other computers in your house jealous of it's retro charm and sophisticated cool.

Yoda And Darth Maul Battle It Out For Lipton Brisk

(YouTube Link)

Continuing the parade of "dear god, make it stop!" inducing advertising for The Phantom Menace in 3D, a new animated commercial has emerged for Lipton Brisk Iced Tea that, I must admit, is beautifully animated and very cute.

There's even a mobile app centered around the battle between Yoda and Darth Maul, which you can check out here.  Now, why do I have the feeling that these ads are going to look a whole lot better than a 3d converted version of The Phantom Menace?

Goofy Facebook Shower Curtain

This Facebook themed shower curtain isn't creepy because of the graphics or text printed on it, but rather because it assumes you'll have people spying on you while you take a shower!

And, while it may be meant for couples or roommates comfortable with sharing their shower time with others, I'm sure even in those situations it would get old quickly, prompting them to wonder "where did you put the plain old shower curtain I used to know and love?"

The Most Comical Star Trek Parody I've Ever Seen

(YouTube Link)

This ridiculous parody comes to us courtesy of Turkish YouTubers dokuztaneprogramla, who appear to have a knack for making cheese, and mistranslating Turkish into English. At least I hope some of those subtitles were mistranslated, or else these guys are even crazier than I thought!

Watch as Captain Hooey and his intrepid band of schmucks come face to face with the gigantic Spacekisser, who appears to have a bad case of herpes, and yet still wants to make out with the Captain. It's like the swinging 60s all over again!

Hypnotizing Comic Book Cover GIFs

In this latest batch of animated comic book cover GIFs by Kerry Callen- Nick Fury uses some hypnotic effects to daze evil-doers, and Lois Lane shares some sugar with the boys from the Justice League, while Superman's off fighting crime and posing for promo posters.

Grab these and spruce up your desktop, or attach them to an email and share the fun!

If you love playing old school games via emulators, yet you have a stack of Sega Genesis and/or Super Nintendo cartridges just sitting around gathering dust, then you might want to look into purchasing a Retrode-a USB device that allows you to play your cartridge games through any emulator, and has ports for all your old controllers.

So, you get that old school "blow on the cartridge before you slot it in" feeling, without fretting over how jacked up your old console has become over the years. Retro gamer completists rejoice!

Let's Play Ancient Greek Punishment

Ever wondered what it would have been like to endure a raven pecking out your liver, or pushing a rock up a hill and never reaching the top, like a punishment fit for a Greek from the age of myth?

Well, here's your chance to get in on the fun, with these simple, cleverly designed pixel art video games by artist Pippin Barr. Choose from: Sisyphus, Tantalus, Prometheus, Danaids or Zeno, and prepare to be entertained for a few moments by the sheer hilarity of it all.

The games look like they're straight from the Atari 2600, full of charm, strange shaped figures and jagged edges, and believe you me pushing two buttons over and over again can be quite exhausting!

You Can Really Taste The Dark Side In This Vader Burger

In what is sure to be the wackiest food marketing campaign yet, the French fast food chain Quick have released their Force burgers, to promote the release of The Phantom Menace in 3d.

This bold, and absolutely disgusting looking, burger features a bun that is dyed black, ensuring that only a true Sith Lord will want to have anything to do with it!

What do you think-would you eat a burger with a black bun, or is the color enough to put you off the Vader deluxe?

Coast Guard Discovers Body, Which Turns Out To Be E.T.

The Coast Guard received a distress call about a body spotted floating off the coast of Old Portsmouth, Hants, and when they arrived they found that it was a creature from another planet!

What they had actually discovered was a life-sized replica of everybody's favorite turtle-esque alien E.T., which had been stolen from the home of Margaret Wells over a year ago.

The replica was custom made by Margaret's daughter, and what the person who stole E.T. intended to do with him is anybody's guess. But since he washed up on the shore we can only assume that he owed money to some very bad people. Margaret's response:

“He has lost a finger and looks a bit roughed up. But he has a smile on his face,” she said. “I always knew E.T. would come home.”

The Retro Video Game That Starred Mikhail Gorbachev

(YouTube Link)

I think the Cold War may have kept this game from arriving in America, either that or the manufacturer didn't feel like the reference to Mikhail Gorbachev would help sell copies in the U.S.

Whatever the reason, Gorby's Pipeline never made its way to the Nintendo Entertainment System, and that's too bad because it looks like it would have given Tetris and Dr. Mario a run for their money! Anyone remember the old school video game Pipe Dream?
