Urban legends about people tampering with Halloween candy have existed for decades, and even though they’re largely seen as scare tactics these legends still put enough fear in parents and kids that x-raying candy has become a Halloween tradition.

So what are the facts about candy tampering?

Surprisingly, the fear of tampered Halloween candy seems to stem from one case- in 1974 Timothy O'Bryan died from ingesting a cyanide laced Pixy Stix given to him by his father, who was trying to cash in on a massive life insurance policy he'd taken out on his kids.

In fact, most of the proven cases of tampering were traced back to a friend or relative who was trying to play a prank on the unwitting child by sticking sharp objects in treats. Way to fail at pranking folks!

Having a stigma attached to being an unmarried adult is a thing of the past- nowadays people don't seem to mind if you'd rather not tie the knot, and those that do care largely keep their opinions to themselves.

LeVar Burton is a big fan of reading, and his show Reading Rainbow was meant to inspire kids to crack open a book and discover the fantastic story that resides between the covers.

Reading Rainbow will be back in action soon thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, so a whole new generation can be inspired by LeVar’s passion for literature, but this video has nothing to do with Reading Rainbow.

It’s not easy to tell the difference between organic and non-organic food, especially in a prepared dish, so calling yourself an organic food expert automatically makes you a target for skepticism and ridicule.

Each year hundreds of foodies, and self proclaimed organic food experts, gather for the Food Specialties Trade Show in Houten, Netherlands to talk the foodie talk and show off their top notch nosh.

All of their hard work was undone from Sacha and Cedrique of Lifehunters, who fooled show attendees into reviewing their new take on fast food- which was simply sliced up food from McDonalds.

The experts thoroughly enjoy the fresh, organic nature of Chicken McNuggets, and delight in the delicious taste of organic tomatoes from a McDonald's burger, and we get to enjoy the delicious humor of it all!
