The Walking Dead Role Reversal

What if the main characters on the Walking Dead tv show hadn't survived the worldwide zombification? Well, this nifty little gallery shows us how cool they'd all look as zombies without ruining the show. Biggest LOL-Glenn as a floater!

Strange Movie Trailers From GhallyWood

(YouTube Link)

This trailer from GhallyWood, or Ghana, Africa is off the hook crazy. The first feature, called Devil May Cry 1&2, was taken to be a film adaptation of the video game franchise, but seems more like an urban horror tale featuring a devil and some sweet sword fighting.

The second feature, called the Killer 1&2, seems to be about a bloodthirsty lion and a giant mallet flying around trying to bonk people in the head. There's a lot of head bonking and people yelling, and some of the worst computer animation you've ever seen. But hey, at least they're trying to make films of their own in Ghana, and they sure seem to have the imagination.

This Cake Looks Too Good To Eat

These days, cake artists can look to painters and illustrators for inspiration, creating otherworldly cake creations that make you second guess cutting them up and eating them. This artwork cake by Dante Nuno of Fire and Icing is far too pretty to eat in my opinion!

Inspired by the painting "Descent" by Ray Caesar, this lovely lady has a squidly dress and trident, and stands astride an antique looking clock like a statue on a pedestal. Hit the link to see the painting which inspired this delicious work of art. What do you think, would you tear into this cake or attempt to preserve it for posterity?

(YouTube Link)

Disney's animated tv shows used to be so good, especially the adventure packed series like DuckTales and Gummi Bears that appealed to audiences of all ages. These shows were so good that I felt superfan nostalgia sweep over me as I watched these 16 intro videos, and I know i'll be singing the theme songs for days to come!

If cute cartoon theme songs that easily get stuck in your head is your idea of personal hell, then don't watch these videos. If you enjoyed these shows back in the day and like taking trips down memory lane, then seeing the intro will make you feel like a kid again. Don't hate!

5 Captain Planet Episodes That Went Horribly Wrong

(YouTube Link)

The lessons taught by the Captain Planet animated series were typically of an ecological or scientific nature, but there were a handful of episodes where the lessons went terribly wrong. Gamma Squad has a hilarious description for each episode, and a choice cut from the episode that shows the craziness that is Captain Planet teaching kids life lessons about drugs, slavery, and fornication. The power is yours!

Steampunk Inspired LEGO Creations

Steampunk as a fashion trend might be fading away, but steampunk inspired inventions and designs will never die. Matt Armstrong brings his version of steampunk inspired design to these LEGO brick sculptures, and the resulting inventions/artworks are quite handsome looking indeed. With classic designs, simplistic retro flair, and the look of full functionality, this is how you put the bricks to good use!

A Gallery Of Tattoos Inspired By Science

Tattoos have gone from subculture badge to trendy enough to be considered a societal norm. Geeks who were once afraid of their bodies, and getting tattoos on them, are now some of the most enthusiastic sporters of embedded ink.

Scientists are no exception, and they've joined the geek nation in adorning themselves with symbols of their passions in life, choosing imagery with a scientific edge in their body art compositions.

Check out the particularly good examples at the Popsci gallery link below, maybe you'll be inspired to get some ink of your own.

Tay Zonday Shows How The Economy Is Like Chocolate Rain

(YouTube Link)

The internet sensation behind the song "Chocolate Rain" returns to teach us a little something about the U.S. economy. Tay Zonday makes a little more sense than he did in his previous videos, but i'm still not sure I understand what's happening with my U.S. dollar situation. Maybe somebody else needs to make an educational song about the economy, preferably someone with a degree in economics!

Celebrity Sculptures Made Out Of Chicken Wire

These cool metal sculptures, of celebrities like John Lennon and Andy Warhol, have such soft edges and fine detail that I was surprised to find out they're made out of chicken wire. Kenyan artist Ivan Lovatt uses skills he learned from working in construction to create these metal masterpieces, and like a good builder he's built sculptures which are durable enough to weather any storm!

Hit the link to see more of Ivan's creations, including his amazing renditions of wildlife in wire.

Minecraft Epic Rap By Dan Bull

(YouTube Link)

Who knew the hip hop community would embrace a video game like Minecraft? Well, maybe we won't be seeing a Lil Wayne homage to Minecraft anytime soon, but Dan Bull has definitely caught pixel mania.  Check out his Minecraft Epic Rap video and tell me what you think. Fair warning, though, some of the lyrics are NSFW.

Photo-Realistic Oil Paintings

Super realism seems to be all the rage these days among artists who share their works on the interwebs, and the work 0f Yigal Ozeri is about as realistic as it gets, since he uses digital photos to create a reference with which to paint his awesome portraits.

What makes Yigal's work a cut above the rest in my opinion is the subject matter, models full of living color amidst wild natural elements as backdrops, the warmth of real life imitated in oils.

Behind The Scenes Of The Hobbit

(YouTube Link)

Peter Jackson is such a visionary film director that he's even changing the way movies are advertised to the public by releasing a video blog series which shows the making of his new J.R.R. Tolkien movie adaptation "The Hobbit".

He shows things that directors generally keep to themselves, like the process of filming 3d footage with a stereoscopic camera, all the while remaining in charge of the production like a total badass. This video is number 4 in the series, so check out the other 3 if you want to see more behind-the-scenes footage from "The Hobbit".

Giant Junkbots Made From Car Parts

These amazing metal sculptures, constructed out of old car and truck parts, are impressive in scale and design. Created by Tom Samui, these creations belong in a steampunk animal menagerie, or used as the coolest junkyard advertising ever.

These sculptures seem like a logistical nightmare, I mean how does he move this massive piece, with a crane? A gallery would have to be built around this piece, cause it ain't coming in through the front door!

Internal Anatomy Of A LEGO Person

I'm sure you've seen variations on this theme before, the internal anatomy of various cartoon characters and toys, many of which were done by the artist behind this cool LEGO man anatomy sculpt, Jason Freeny.

But what makes this article really cool is that it shows Jason's entire process, so all you artists and DIYers get ready to take note!

Crazy FuncoLand Training Videos

(YouTube Link)

Apparently the managers of FuncoLand, the equivalent of Gamestop in the 1990s, are crazy creeps from another dimension that delight in torturing new employees while acting like trailer park royalty. This 2 part training video probably made new hires wonder whether they'd just made a huge mistake, and watching these videos made me nostalgic for the goofiness of the 90s. I miss my Nintendo 64!
