In honor of the newest Legend of Zelda game "Skyward Sword", here's a video showing the theme song from the original Legend of Zelda game faithfully reproduced with iPads. The Paper Art Of Tetsuya Watabe

These highly detailed and adorable little critter sculptures are made entirely out of paper by Japanese artist Tetsuya Watabe, who proves that paper art isn't limited to origami. However, don't get these little guys wet or they may become extinct.

The Muppets Try Out For Different Roles

I've caught a fresh case of Muppet Fever thanks to the new movie, and I hope that a whole new generation of youngsters will find love for these fleece superstars. However, their career was in a slump for a while, and a few of the Muppets thought they might need to find other work, so here are some test shots from their alternate movie role tryouts.

You can see the rest at the link below, including Kermit as Anchorman and Dr. Bunsen as Walter White from Breaking Bad!

Haunting Images From Japan's Ghost Island

You would think that Japan's overpopulation problems would force them to hang on to every bit of inhabitable land they own, but these images show otherwise. Hashima Island, nicknamed Ghost Island, was abandoned entirely after the mine which had been running for over 80 years was closed in 1974.

The black and white photos add a sense of despair to the abandoned cityscape, and although Hashima Island has been covered before here on Neatorama, I think the beautiful photographs in this gallery warrant a second look.

Captivating Spider Man Eye Collage

At a glance, it's a collage made out of random images that forms the shape of Spider Man's eye. Then you look closer, and you're drawn into his web of mystery as you try to make out the shape of all the little Spider Man images Pascal Garcin has crammed into this collage. And is that Captain America in the center?

Anthony Bourdain's Culinary Action Comic

Anthony Bourdain wears many hats these days-writer, host of 2 travel shows, and chef-at-large, but the fact that he's been working on a food inspired graphic novel seems like a surprising, and awesome, career choice. Here's how he describes the 160 page graphic novel "Get Jiro!" he's creating with co-writer Joel Rose:

...a gourmet slaughter-fest, sort of like 'Fistful of Dollars' meets 'Eat Drink Man Woman'" and "'Yojimbo' meets 'Big Night' and 'Babette's Feast', an ultra-violent slaughter-fest over culinary arcana

Hilarious, and inventive as usual Mr. Bourdain. I can't wait to read this culinary crossover when it comes out June 2012.

World War II Propaganda Short By Disney

(YouTube Link)

Everyone joined in the war effort during World War II, helping out however possible stateside. Disney artists decided to join the cause by creating various forms of propaganda, like this surreal animated short, meant to show how food will help the Allies win the war. Using morbidly obese Americans to "black out all of Berlin" never seemed like a valid wartime strategy until this short came out!

Realistic Encumberance On Video Game Characters

These fun illustrations show what video game characters would really look like when loaded down with all of their in-game loot. Next time you grab some extra potions just for the heck of it, think about what you're doing to the poor character you're playing!

One Of Japan's Last Great Swordsmiths

(YouTube Link)

This guy is known for making some serious head choppers. Artisans like Korehira Watanabe are fading into history, as their creations are no longer in demand and the inherent secrecy of their craft makes passing on the legacy virtually impossible. Watch this master in action and see the skills that may someday be lost to antiquity.

15 Songs You Know But Might Not Know Their Names

(YouTube Link)

Most of the songs on this list have been used so many times,on soundtracks for movies and television shows, that we know them by heart. I've heard them all a million times (except for Zombie Nation, which is apparently big with hockey fans), yet I was surprised to find that I only knew half the song names on the list. See how well you do, and if you knew them all you get a gold star!

Faceless Characters Tell A Different Story

These strange photo-manipulations look like a Photoshop lesson gone wrong. Photographer Nacho Ormaechea carefully selects the subject, cuts them out then replaces their form with random images that add a sense of depth, and mystery, to the scene. This is a refreshing take on portraiture, but I wonder how the models/subjects feel about being replaced?

Why Not Zoidberg As A Badass?

In the bizarro version of Futurama it's Zoidberg that does all the ass kicking. With rugged armor plates, vicious crab claws and a face scary enough to give Lanternfish nightmares, this alternate reality Doctor Zoidberg has a PhD in badassery and a Masters in post-apocalyptic fashion sense.

Nissin Cup Noodle Ad Featuring Yoda

(YouTube Link)

Apparently Nissin instant ramen noodles are Jedi Council approved, since Yoda has now come forward with his endorsement of the Cup Noodle. I can totally imagine Yoda sitting down in his cave on Dagobah to a hot cup of ramen noodles, they're good for those cold swamp days.
