Let Rob Liefeld Show You How A Comic Book Is Made

(YouTube Link)

Iconic comic book illustrator Rob Liefeld, aka the Man who Never Ages, and celebrated cartoonist Ty Templeton starred in this enlightening episode of the Canadian TV show The Anti Gravity Room from 1996, which shows what it takes to put together a comic book.

If you've ever wondered how a comic book goes from script to store shelf, this ugly VHS rip will fill you in on the particulars, and offers some pretty sweet insight into how much work goes into creating comics.

Scary Cool Custom Made 70-Cal T-Rex Rifle

This amazing custom rifle, more of a hand cannon really, fires modified .50 caliber rounds and looks badass punching giant holes in targets. Here's how this rifle puts the WTF in firearms:

The cartridge, named the .700 WTF ("What The F...") and is made by fire forming a .50 BMG brass case, trimming it to 3" in length and then sizing it. The round is loaded with a 1132 grain paper patched .700 lead cast bullet.

The rifle, with just a 16.25" barrel, can push the 1132 grain of lead up to 2300 fps. Thats 13,000 ft/lbs of energy, right up there with the .50 BMG and far exceeding the .700 Nitro Express. The cast lead bullet has enough energy to pass clean through a 1/4" steel plate.

It's a must-have when you come face-to-face with an angry dinosaur, or Godzilla on the rampage. Hit the link to check out a video of this bad boy in action.

Diablo Costume Brings The Lord Of Terror To Life

When cosplayer Joshua Smith decided to make a costume for BlizzCon, first he went to Wal-Mart then he went all out, building this massive, amazingly detailed Diablo costume in honor of the release of Diablo III.

There are lots of photos of this amazing costume at the link below, including shots of the suit lit up with a demonic glow. If I owned this costume, I would scare the crap out of my entire neighborhood on Halloween!

Of Orcs And Men Features A Different Kind Of Lennie

(YouTube Link)

I can't think of a better way to re-envision a classic tale like "Of Mice And Men" than to cast an orc and goblin as the two main characters, throw them into a fantasy world, then let the orc kick some human tail in the name of freedom. Just don't let him near any puppies!

Twin Peaks Intro-Parks And Rec Style

(YouTube Link)

Using the motion graphics style and song from the Parks and Recreation tv show seems to have given some of the characters from Twin Peaks a slightly different feel: the Man From Another Place seems less sinister, Sheriff Truman looks more intense, and Donna is way more weepy. Boy, Twin Peaks sure looks like a nice little town!

This Bird Is Wearing One Angry Dress

This Angry Birds dress caused quite a stir when Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka's wife wore it to the Finnish Presidential Palace, but why hate on someone representing the game that has taken the world by storm? I mean, the dress is kind of ridiculous looking, and the bird's eye is a bit too close to being mistaken for a nip slip, but anyone who would go to this length for promotion deserves at least a nod of approval.

This House Will Help You Survive The Zombie Apocalypse

This beautiful luxury home in New York's Adirondack State Park has an awesome secret-it's built on top of a former launch control center, and has an additional 2300 square feet of space which lies safely underground.

And now this cabin/bunker can be yours for a mere $1.75 million! Maybe Bruce Wayne is looking for a vacation home, complete with pre-constructed BatCave? You can see more pics of this survivalist dream house at the link below.

Camera Used To Film Star Wars Breaks Auction House Records

The Panavision PSR 35mm camera used to film the original Star Wars movie sold for over $600,000 at auction this week, a sale price which broke the record for highest selling price for a camera ever.

The camera was refurbished back to its original state, was said to be in full working order, and now the new owner can get to work filming Episode 4 all over again! Just kidding, but wouldn't it be hilarious if someone bought the camera then remade such a beloved movie?

Telling A Strangers Story Via Photo Triptych

These strange portrait photographs leave out much of the subject, and yet seem to tell more about each person than a regular photo would. Taken by photographer Adde Adesokan, they're part of his series called "Triptychs of Strangers", and they boil down the subject's personality according to their head, feet and what's in their hands. This is such a fresh approach to street photography that I can't wait to see what Adde comes up with next!

Retro Japanese Spider-Man TV Series

He's known as Supaidaman in Japan, and his live action Japanese tv show from 1978 is way cooler than the cheesy American incarnation. Watch as Spider-Man performs stunts on his motorcycle, battles baddies with duck bills, and tries to stop the sinister plans of one Professor Monster.

Adventure Time's Finn All Grown Up

Who would have guessed that Finn, from the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time, would grow up to be such a badass? Since his arms and legs are like noodles on the show, I'm thinking he went through a gym rat phase as he grew up. Now he looks like he can kick some serious tail!
