This sweded version of  Taxi Driver by director Michel Gondry, of Green Hornet and Eternal Sunshine... fame, shows us what the classic film would look like in a French art house style. It's schlocky, surreal and a whole lot cooler than the average sweded film, but I wouldn't expect any less from such a visionary director.

There are thousands of tiny soldiers locked in eternal combat in Valencia, Spain, housed in the Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo (museum of the little lead soldiers).

What started as a small collection belonging to Museum Director Alejandro Noguera's father has become a collection of over one million, with 85,000 on display in diorama scenes straight out of history. If you've ever thought to yourself "Man, I would love to try my hand at painting, but paint is way too expensive" then guess what-your body is full of a fluid that works just as well but will cost you nothing!

I'm talking about blood, and although it may seem strange to paint with the stuff, it is definitely one of the less disgusting bodily fluids artists have decided to use in their works. Artist Vinicius Quesada knows the value of a pint of vital fluid, and you can see more of his sanguis works at the link below.

Model builder msmuse101 and her father threw their skills together and produced this awesome TARDIS dvd shelving unit, which looks so good they should mass produce them and sell them in stores.

The only problem with this TARDIS? It's way smaller inside than it looks on the outside, like it was made in an alternate reality.

Digital artist Jonathan Fletcher has created the player select screen for a bizarro version of the Super Mario Bros. video game that would apparently take place in the Gulf of Mexico.

This has to be the skeeziest incarnation of the Bros. i've ever seen, but nobody ever said plumbing was a glamorous job!

Fans of the Mario Bros. video game franchise draw inspiration from the moustachioed plumbers in so many creative ways, but i'm generally most impressed by the musical tributes. This operatic styled song released on YouTube by legolambs has hilarious lyrics that go along with the gameplay so well that you'll be entertained even though you're watching someone play Super Mario Bros. for the millionth time.

I've caught a fresh case of Muppet Fever thanks to the new movie, and I hope that a whole new generation of youngsters will find love for these fleece superstars. However, their career was in a slump for a while, and a few of the Muppets thought they might need to find other work, so here are some test shots from their alternate movie role tryouts.

These freaky paintings look like what you'll see if you watch cartoons while on acid.

Created by Tina Lugo, they have a pop art flavor coupled with psychedelic melting madness, and yet the cartoon characters that star in these paintings are still recognizable.

Tina creates these bizarre pieces by painting enamel on sheets of Plexiglass, which enhances the vibrancy of the colors and gives them their cartoon cel look. Personally, I would love to see Hanna Barbera characters melt together in her future works!

Apparently Australians love their comic books so much that they've decided to start issuing license plates with images of DC superheroes, like Superman and Batman, printed on them. This means that the Australian motor vehicle department is officially the coolest on the planet! When are we going to get license plates that prominently display our geek love?

When Pendleton Ward, creator of the Cartoon Network hit series Adventure Time, and animator Natasha Allegri want to tell a joke they use an adorable animated short to deliver the punchline, a short that happily spoofs Pokemon with tongue-in-cheek reverence.
