Superhero Alignment Spectrum Chart

Have you ever wondered what hero (or villain) you have the most in common with, based on the moral choices you make in your life? Then this alignment chart should clear some things up, or show you that your fate lies in the realm of supervillainy.

Based on the nine basic alignments found in Dungeons and Dragons, this chart is pretty much spot on in my opinion, at least in terms of where the comic book characters chosen for this chart fit in to the spectrum.

I range between Rorschach and Deadpool myself, which character do you take after in terms of alignment?

Is This What Humans Will Look Like In 50 Million Years?

While I find it impossible highly unlikely that humans will still exist in 50 million years, it's horrifying fun to see what some scientists artists think we will look like at the end of eternity.

According to these illustrations by madman speculative zoologist Dougal Dixon, humans will evolve into some sort of organ shaped being, with yucky cute trunk tail and our own built in bat wings umbrellas.

The illustrations were published in Omni magazine in the early 1980s, and I can't help but wonder- would Dougal arrive at the same horrifying interesting conclusion if he were asked to draw future humans again today, or would modern scientific discoveries force him to simply leave the page blank?

Does Your Motorcycle Look Too Cool? Then Get The Boxx Bike!

It may not be a guaranteed in for the biker gang of your choice, but at least you don't have to put gas in it! The BOXX electric bike is the new square way to get around town without negatively impacting the environment, although people may complain that it's a bit of an eyesore.

It goes up to 35 mph, so you won't really be hitting the highway on this bad boy, but maybe the light (120 lbs.) and short (36 inches long) body style is what you're looking for, like when you need to pick it up and run away from that biker gang you tried to join.

Alex Pardee Sees Strangely Shaped Superpeople

I love to see Alex Pardee's take on iconic characters because he always manages to wow me with his redesigns. From his perspective, the world is full of shifting facial features, sharp teeth and splattered edges.

It's a fine mess when you think about it, and love or hate him you gotta admit-Alex Pardee is an original. Here's his fresh look at superfolks who were getting a bit too big for their britches.

Truthful Movie Posters For Oscar Nominated Films

Do you ever wish that movie posters would cut the BS and tell you what the movies really about? Well, The Shiznit has taken it upon themselves to redesign the movie posters for Oscar nominated films in a way that really gets to the heart of what each movie is all about.

So, The Help is about white people solving racism, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is full of rape, and The Descendants is all about the great performance delivered by George Clooney? Glad I didn't bother watching them in the theater!

These posters will save you time, money and keep you from feeling cheated by another Hollywood stinker. Some images NSFW

What A 130-mph Car Crash Looks Like From The Inside

(YouTube Link)

Watching this cool kit-car Cobra get turned into a pile of scrap metal probably would have looked a lot cooler from the outside, but at least you get to see how crazy a crash like this is from the drivers perspective! Here's how he describes the incident:

On the front straight doing 130mph, something breaks. The cobra veers hard right and off track. The car leaves a 6O foot gash in the asphalt as it veered before leaving the track and continued for an additional 500 feet off track to its resting point. I received only minor injuries to my left knee and bruised ribs.

Why he records himself driving around the track is anyone's guess, but I bet he was happy the camera was rolling the day he almost died!

A Compilation Of Animals Playing With Tablet Devices

(YouTube Link)

This adorable compilation video features all kinds of little critters getting their game on with tablet devices. Is this the future of gaming, or just a neat way to occupy your otherwise rambunctious pet?

Either way this vid will warm your heart, and may result in scratched screens and expensive electronic devices being destroyed by puppy slobber.

Gauntlet Cover Art Re-Imagined

This is what the classic video game Gauntlet would have looked like if it took place in some sort of dwarven alternate reality, imagined and beautifully illustrated by DeviantARTist Mike Azevedo. In this version, you will never hear the narrator say the words "Warrior needs food- badly".

The Unseen Actors Inside Iconic Character Costumes

Have you ever wondered who's inside the costume of your favorite character? From Big Bird to ALF to that dancing purple annoyance Barney, the identities of the actors inside have remained largely unknown, until you check out the gallery at Flavorwire and see for yourself who's been acting in those costumes all these years.

I'm sure most readers won't find Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) all that surprising, but did you know that 2 different people donned the Ludo character costume in the movie Labyrinth, or that the guy who donned the Alien costume in the movie franchise was over seven feet tall? Read on, inquisitive Neatoramanaut!

Over 300 Pounds Of Caviar Found In Russian Morgue

Russian authorities made a fishy discovery this week, when a whopping 385 pounds of caviar was found stashed in a hospital morgue refrigerator.

The employees who were arrested for stashing the stuff claim that it was being reserved for a staff New Years party. Here's why the St. Petersburg police were after the caviar:

Most of the red caviar was from salmon, but 38 kilograms (84 pounds) of the stash was black caviar from sturgeon, an endangered fish. Amid heavy restrictions on sturgeon fishing, black caviar is increasingly produced and sold illegally.

A day after the morgue discovery, St. Petersburg police said they seized an additional 100 kilograms (220 pounds) intended for illegal sale at local markets.

On Friday, the Interfax news agency reported that border guards in the eastern Ukraine city of Kharkiv confiscated 249 cans of caviar worth almost $22,000 that was allegedly being smuggled from Russia to Ukraine.

In the far eastern region of Khabarovsk, a vehicle inspection turned up 500 kilograms (1,100 pounds) of caviar, leading police on a weeklong investigation, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported. They raided a village home on Friday and found another 26 kilograms (57 pounds).

At two different spots along the Amur River basin, police found 47 sturgeon carcasses and 2.5 tons of live sturgeon. Sturgeon fishing in the Amur basin is prohibited.

Apparently, the war on drugs in Russia includes battling the sale of illegal caviar. I wonder if they have dogs trained to sniff out the fishy stuff?

A Fun New Years Eve Tradition From Ecuador

These images aren't of pop culture statues being erected to spruce up city street corners in Ecuador, they're giant effigies known as "años viejos", many of which feature fan fav characters, that are burned to celebrate the coming of the new year.

Ricardo Bohorquez has taken some amazing pics of the effigies being built, many with people in the frame to show their massive scale, and I only wish there was a part 2 to this article showing them all going up in flames!

The Geekiest Musical Instrument Ever Made

(YouTube Link)

This epic musical geek creation is called the gAtari-a musical instrument which uses the extremely limited sound capabilities of the Atari 2600 to make the kind of music hardcore gamers will love, and parents will classify as noise.

I don't fully understand how the device works, but here the creator cTrix attempts to explain how, and why, he came up with it:

The “gAtari” was my excuse to do something a little silly after I discovered that the Atari 2600 was more limiting than I realized! (31 pitches, minimal waveforms and only 2 channels!) I needed an EQ which could take a high voltage and drop it down to line level (Boss bass EQ) plus a way to hold loops between tracks and parts (Boss delay). So rather than have it “DJ” style config, I thought I make something a little more creative.

I hope the gAtari sparks a new trend in club music, doesn't the sweet sounds coming out of this thing make you wanna get up and shake your rump?

Things That Should Not Be Leashed

BuzzFeed brings us this silly little gallery full of chuckle-worthy images of bizarre things on leashes. Some of them are questionable in terms of strangeness (people leash their kids all the time, right?) while others are truly weird, and really make you wonder what we humans will be leashing up next?

The 36 Worst Action Figures From Iconic Toy Lines

Cracked has put together a great article on these terrible action figures from iconic lines, like the one featured above-April O'Neil's Boss from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line.

These are the kind of toys that had kids yelling "Awwww man! Not this one!" at their birthday party, and they were always given (in my experience, anyway) by a relative who thought they were being cool by giving you a toy from one of the hottest lines. Thanks anyways Grandma! *forced smile*
