Hundreds, if not millions, of valiant adventurers head out each year to rescue princesses from dragons and other fiendish beasts, and yet very few return with the princess in tow.
Why do these well-trained warriors keep coming up short? Is it their lack of magical equipment? Are their Strength and Dexterity attributes too low?
This strip by Pedro Arizpe of Port Sherry Comics shows how hard it is to rescue a princess when you're not her "type", and also teaches us another important lesson- some princesses don't like it when you slay their dragon pals.

Skipping stones across a body of water is the kind of activity that's generally categorized as “not much bang for your buck”, meaning it's not very thrilling to watch or participate in.

Nowadays, if you want to see all those strange cars that time forgot you've gotta visit an auto museum, and nobody has more one-offs and oddball models than the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Lane Motor Museum is home to rare models built by companies trying to break into the auto biz, such as the French pedal car company Mochet (above) or the British tractor company Opperman, who built this adorably austere Opperman Unicar back in the 50s:
The Lane is also home to oddball autos made by motorcycle companies, such as the Maico (pic at top of post), doomed because of a dumb engineering oversight:
In 1956, they stretched the Maico 400 chassis to accommodate four passengers but didn’t fully engineer the resulting Maico 500 (the Lane owns a ’58), and the added weight overwhelmed the front axle.
But motorcycle makers didn't always fail to transition to more than two wheels, as the strange looking yet moderately successful three-wheeled car called the New-Map Solyto proves.
The Solyto was manufactured by the French company New-Map from 1952 to 1974- it weighed only 330 pounds and had an output of 5.5 horsepower, but it was always a big hit with the microcar crowd.
Women are giving birth later in life than ever before, and advancements in medical science keep extending the age range which doctors deem safe for women to give birth.
But even with our medical advancements and extended lifespans getting pregnant and having a baby when you're a senior citizen isn't advisable.
Apparently nobody told Daljinder Kaur or her husband Mohinder about the age limit, because after two years of receiving IVF treatments Daljinder gave birth to a healthy baby boy- at age 72.
This is their first child after nearly fifty years of marriage, and Daljinder says she was able to give birth because "God heard our prayers".

We watch movies like The Bad News Bears, Heathers and American Pie when we're younger and don't really pay attention to the subtext, which we later discover is all kinds of messed up.
But looking back it's incredible to think that The Bad News Bears got a PG rating, considering all the cursing and racial slurs in the movie, and Heathers just hasn't felt the same since school shootings became all too common.
American Pie taught us it's okay for zany teens to film sex acts without asking for permission, and yet didn't manage to teach teens to be more careful with their compromising webcam footage.
So, while these aren't the main plots or points of these films they are the shockingly bad subtexts we can't help but see after we've grown wiser with age.
We hang chimes outside our homes so they'll catch the wind and play us a pleasant little song, but if you live in Alaska and hang up chimes you're actually asking for a personal musical performance by a moose.
When Healy, Alaska resident Britta Schroeder awoke to this candid moosic-al performance being played on her neighbor's wind chimes she did the right thing and filmed the show.
And just to avoid the accusations that she lured the moose into her yard the video came with this disclaimer:

Legislators didn't really know what to do about those mobile surveillance cameras we call drones when they first flew onto the scene, and many places are still lacking any sort of laws relating to pics taken by drones.
As the media brought people up to speed on the dangers of unchecked drone flight, and many countries passed laws to make sure they were protected against these remote controlled spies.

But these laws also inadvertantly illegalized legitimate photography, like the legitimately cool aerial photos taken by drone photographers like Amos Chapple.
Luckily Amos had two years of free flying fun under his belt before most of these laws went into effect, and his aerial images are testament to how important perspective is to the art of photography.

Working from home seems like a dream come true when you're tired of being forced to commute and sit in the same building day in and day out, but working from home also comes with a risk of turning into a troll.
Now we're not talking about the online version here, we're talking those antisocial creatures from folklore who smell and are so socially inept they end up living under a bridge because they can't fiti in with society.
If you work from home and don't want to go full troll all you have to do is work like you would anywhere else- keep your work space clean, keep to a work schedule and keep track of all tasks and deadlines.
You'll also feel like less of a troll if you keep your pants on while working, or at least bathe on a regular basis, both of which will make things a lot less awkward when you invite your fellow trolls home workers over.
But beware- day drinking often leads to a loss of pants!
I'm not sure if animals are getting used to having their picture taken and are learning to pose for portraits, or if it just seems that way since there are so many animal pics posted online these days.
Whatever the reason, animals are posing like never before, and even wild animals seem like they're waiting for some traveler to take their pic and post them online so people around the world can see how cute they are.
Chanel and Stevo from howfarishome.com are two travelers who love to post pics on behalf of internet deprived animals, using an ultra-wide angle lens to take "mugshots" of the friendly critters they encounter while traveling around the world.
It's only a matter of time before tech companies start making smartphones for animals, and if you think social media is crazy now wait until the world's critter population starts posting!
Birthday cake is a really big deal when we're little kids, but as we get older it tends to lose its appeal and ends up shoved to the back of the table behind all the presents.
Decades later, when the presents stop being such a big deal and we don't eat desserts on a daily basis, the cake suddenly becomes a star again, a slice of sugary heaven that makes our age more bearable.

But the art collective behind the video The School Of No Big Deal aren't educators- they're just a bunch of good time guys and gals discussing sex in the strangest way possible.
Penmanship is a dying artform, as fonts installed in our computers easily fake fine handwriting, but there are still lots of writers out there who choose to take up a brush, marker or pen and create beautiful letters.
But computers also help keep the love of hand lettering alive, because we're able to share our passion for the written word with people who appreciate how hard it is to render fancy looking letters by hand.
