GIFs are a visual gift to the Users of the Internet, a mini cinematic present for our eyeballs to unwrap in a few seconds flat, but I can't decide if the GIFs created by Sam Cannon are given out of joy or spite.
Sam's mesmerizing and disturbing GIFs can be subtly creepy, extremely whimsical or both, and viewers may find it hard to tear their eyes away from these GIFs even when the subject keeps sending chills down their spine with a stare.

Apparently all bikes will be spokeless in the future, since that's how they often appear in sci-fi shows and such, so in an effort to speed us towards the future the Cyclotron has appeared.
The Cyclotron looks like a bicycle straight out of TRON, with built-in lights powered by a self- charging battery, smartphone connectivity, vinyl decals for customization and a modular design.
Riders can attach baskets inside the spokeless rims to carry stuff, and the Wingman child seat system lets you take your little ones along for the ride.

Nowadays these corporations are just looking for the viral boost these epic online poll fails provide, and yet they're never really prepared for the trolling they receive.
McDonald's New Zealand asked the internet community to use their app and invent their own burgers, and what they got was the Sad European, the Carbonator and something called Girth.
As expected the app has been removed from the McDonald's New Zealand website, so no tasteless burger designing for you, but I'm sure another internet poll worthy of trolling to come along soon!

One hundred coats of paint seems like overkill for most paintings, and you'd never need to apply 100 coats of paint to your house, so why on Earth would people apply 100 coats of various beauty products to themselves?
To take part in the 100 Coats Challenge, a new beauty vlogger craze that started with nail polish and has now jumped the shark thanks to one Jenna Marbles- who slapped on 100 coats of (nearly) everything. (NSFW due to language)
Jenna applied 100 coats of lipstick, foundation, self tanner, hair spray, nail polish and stuck 50 false eyelashes on each lid...then she showed us the horrifying results for way too long. *shudder*

People naturally have a morbid curiosity about the Titanic disaster, wondering about every little detail of that fateful April night in 1912, and slowly but surely virtually every detail has been revealed since.
As you may be aware there were three classes of passengers on board, and each class was treated quite differently during the voyage, but how differently is best illustrated by the three different class menus.
The First Class menu is suitably posh and pretentious, with consomme fermier instead of rice soup, egg a l'argenteuil instead of ham & eggs, and Camembert and Stilton instead of "cheese".
And then there are the poor Third Class passengers who are stuck eating gruel, "cabin biscuits" (a name that somehow sounds hard and tasteless), and plain old boiled potatoes.
First class or third class, they were all equal in the end...

Watching musician Andy McKee play is a delight for both eyes and ears, since his harp guitar sounds as wonderful as it looks, as you can see/hear when he plays Jeremy Soule's “Streets Of Whiterun” from the Skyrim soundtrack.
Andy's magical instrument was made by Greenfield Guitars in Montreal, Canada, and proprietor Michael Greenfield shared a bit about the instrument's composition:
My harp guitar has its own, proprietary body shape and many unique features. While inspired by the early 20th century harp guitars, this is truly a contemporary instrument incorporating all of the modern physics and design features found on all of my guitars. …My harp guitar is made of a laminated rim set, with laminated linings and a system of aerospace composite carbon fibre trusses and buttresses. This makes for an extremely rigid and stable skeletal structure. The soundboard is lattice braced. The Laskin style extended arm rest is included, as is a mini-rib rest on the rear of the pointed section of the upper bout.

Pocket monsters often dream of breaking out of their pokeball and becoming something more than an arena fighting machine, but until they evolve into something big enough to crush their human captors they have to settle for cosplay. When two forces of freaky-deaky-dom decide to throw down it's hard to decide who will come out on top because they're both pretty awful in their own way. Photo realistic artwork can be created by tricking the eye with implied depth, using photo reference and digital painting software, or by spending a really long time making sure every detail is perfect on each piece.
Italian artist Emanuele Dascanio has chosen to go with the latter, and he spends hundreds of hours creating each one of his incredibly realistic portraits.
Emanuele uses the chiaroscuro related technique of single source lighting to help sell the realism, and he works primarily in charcoal, graphite and oil paint which make it easier to create high contrast imagery on white canvas.

We're exposed to so much negativity these days, and there's so much strife and turmoil in the world, that sometimes it's nice to peruse a collection of positively inspirational images and stand proud again.
