So, do all these recommendations and suggestions need to have a disclaimer first? If so... "Consult your dr before trying any of these things."
Shredded organic white oak bark, boil in water and let steep until cool. Strain well and use as a douche (4x daily) for vaginal infections. They will be gone in 2-3 days if not sooner. Truly amazing.
Severe spring or hayfever allergies? The kind with an actual fever? Use Nasalcrom. I no longer have hay fever allergies.
Bee stings? (NOT wasp, hornet or yellow jacket stings) Scrape away the stinger and put 1 drop of REAL (local) honey on the sting and a band-aid for the sticky stuff to stay off your clothes. The pain will be gone in 5 minutes, if not sooner. At least it did for me. FYI-lots of commercial honey is cut with corn syrup - up to 50% - and the FDA doesn't have to make the seller tell you that! My dad was a master beekeeper so that's how we found out about it.
Powdered Peanut Butter. Comes in 2 flavors, regular and chocolate. Just add water to the powdered portion you want to eat. Lasts indefinitely. My dad was a Master Beekeeper and this is what he did with honey. Honey will crystallize but you can easily re-liquify it by placing the glass jar on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at the lowest temperature an oven will go - somewhere between 150 and 200 degrees until liquid again (3-4 hrs). Or liquify it in the jar in a pan of hot water. It will take a while because you need to keep reheating the water. Don't boil the honey.
Ooooookay.... I went to the link. I have gone to lots of your links but this one? I don't know what to think about it. It's agonizingly amateurish and, yet, you can tell the blogger loves his (her?) work. I guess there is a site for everyone...
My cousin had a 12 foot pink plastic flamingo he would put on his lawn after Memorial Day and put it away after Labor Day. He did this for years until someone stole it. It was never recovered. Bummer.
Jolson didn't like hearing other performers speaking on stage when he was in his dressing room so he would turn his water faucet on full force to 'drown out' the noise.
I don't do wedding showers. I think a lot of weddings are steered towards 'getting' as much as possible out of their guests. Case in point - my best friend's son just got married. Now, it's just not enough to give a wedding present anymore, now we are now expected to buy another present for the 'shower'. How many $250 5 piece place settings do these people really expect to get? It's sheer greed. Sorry, I'm an old hippie who got married in her parent's house with ONLY close friends and family in attendance. No 'showers', no bridal gifts wanted or required. I'm not into milking my guests for money and gifts. Don't give me 'tradition' as a reason for doing so! 41 years this December we'll be married so we must have done something right. Not bleeding our friends and relatives of their hard earned cash was just a bonus.
