Changing a baby diaper would not be the right thing to do in class. Feeding the baby strained beets would not be the right thing to do in class. Bathing the baby would not be the right thing to do in class.

It's not child care, but a job. Do the job, hire someone for childcare.

Also, the bottom half of this analogy falls apart; it doesn't make sense. Many people desperately want to have children; not too many want to drown. Nor does saving a person from drowning necessitate killing another living being.

The legs may have been lost while in the military, protecting your freedoms. Find out before making jokes. Personally I think noodling is foolhardy, but no more cruel than fishing with a hook. Should the govt protect us from ourselves? I say no, but they should have to pay their medical bills if they get injured. Sadly, there is no easy way to enforce that.
