All it takes is 15 minutes with some clown...

It would be a simple matter to pick up the bike and carry it off, wheel, lock, and all.

Me? How can I forget something I've never heard of? Besides, the people who made this poster are at Urlesque, not here.

You would think so, I suppose. Further research is needed!

Not so much his acting, but the roles vary a lot.

Ha! When I said "dyeing out", I didn't think about the meaning of the color washing out sooner. I meant you don't see blue-haired elderly women as much as you did 40 years ago. I don't think many do it that way these days. I know I don't!

I remember when people used bluing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluing_%28fabric%29 to counteract the effects of bleach on linens. I'm sure some women used the same laundry product on their hair.
You never see bluing for sale anymore because bleach is made better, and many linens aren't even made of linen.

I bet those are tangerines. Smaller, not as round, and easier to balance than oranges. Tastier, too, if you ask me!

Frau, water does not boil below 203 here at sea level, either. It has to be even hotter: 212 degrees.
No one serves boiling coffee. You don't even have to boil water to make coffee anymore. The altitude may make getting water to boil easier up there, but it doesn't make any difference in what temperature scalds the skin.

The comments section here may take out the extra space, but I see them when the comments are emailed to me!

That explains it. I never received any training in typing. As if y'all couldn't guess that!

I don't have the patience to watch ANYONE use my computer. I have the compulsion to say, "here, let me do that for you." Or else I have to leave the room. I'm sure I do some "old people stuff" that would drive a geek crazy, but at least I can do it quickly.

Shouldn't be all that surprising. After all, toilets get cleaned every once in a while, and money never does. We just don't perceive money the way we think of toilets.
"Filthy lucre" indeed!

I wondered about ice-nine myself, lereas, as I seemed to remember it differently. But I haven't read Cats Cradle in at least 30 years, so I wasn't sure what the difference was.
