Thaxted, I've notice all my life that if someone around my age is the youngest in the family, they probably have a lot of siblings, but if they are the oldest, there's only two or three. I was born in 1958.
absolin, as the video says right off, passengers with children will board first. Adults who sit together will eventually sit together, even if they don't enter the plane at the same time.
Miiike, I don't know what airline you've been flying, but in every flight I'd made in past ten years, every passenger was ready to board an hour or two before they are called.
Unless, of course, they are running across the airport from another flight that was late.
I wouldn't go as far as to say "most portraits" were of dead people, but the living did have to sit still for a long exposure, so you rarely see anyone holding a smile.
