I wondered about shingles, and asked the pediatrician years ago when my kids got the varicella vaccine. She said the vaccine was new, and they didn't yet know whether it led to or prevented shingles. I hope you are right in that it prevents them. That's good for my kids, but I'm still in danger. Then I heard just recently that there is a vaccine for shingles itself available to the elderly. Nice!
The linked article itself talks about population. The research is well known. Families worldwide tend to limit the number of children they have if they could be fairly sure those fewer children would survive to adulthood.
If you look at the distribution, there aren't that many people who are "average". Average is just a math concept. Half of us have one friend that is close enough to tell important things to. Others are more sociable, which brings the average up. I'm sure some of this has to do with the way the way the question is presented. I socialize on the net, but I tell all my everyday stuff and my problems to my husband, my kids, my mother, and other people I see every day. That's a whole lot easier than seeking out friends I'm not related to.
The point is, why would anybody buy a new house when you can get an existing house for about nothing these days? It's a shame that people have to double up and other homes go empty because banks aren't interested in your business if all you want is affordable housing.
I wish the artist had called it a "graph" or "poster" instead of "infographic," since that term makes people think of spammers. This was made for an art class, and turned out really good.
