My husband had a stroke a couple of years before he died. I didn't mean to be flippant about reporting what people said, but I will edit the post. I am glad you are making progress.

That's something to think about. I never thought of a stroke as a disability, but rather as an event, like a heart attack. Everyone I've known that had a stroke has either recovered or died.
