My dog, too -although in her case, I believe it was injury-generated. One side of her face was bashed in somehow before we got her. Her snout is crooked, her eyes on that side is pale blue, and she shows some weird behavior that could be brain damage. But she's a sweet dog!
My guess is, the way things are today in Syria, being recognized dancing with a westerner might be dangerous. The blurring was most likely requested by the participants.
