That's sounds like a great recipe, except 1. I don't like sweet potatoes. 2. Daughter one won't use brown sugar or brandy. 3. Daughter two can't cook her way out of a paper bag.

The only time I've had sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner were those years the kids were vegan. I served them just plain baked. The way I see it, the dressing, gravy, homemade bread, and pie have enough carbs for everyone. If someone requests it, I also serve regular mashed potatoes, but that doesn't happen every year.
