we had a neighbor flush baby wipes about a year ago. It backed up our whole complex (about 6 townhouses). Before we realized there was a problem, we had put on a load of laundry.. which proceeded to drain out through the toilet.

I'm going to side with the physicist on this one. The statue only moves when people are around. Lots of factors could go into its movement, and I doubt it was designed to move imperceptibly when people mill around it, considering it was taken from a tomb (?), a place sort of defined by its lack of people milling about.

Interesting little quirk though. If you put it on some felt it should never move again.
