This is one of those instances where I choose to add this to my canon because it's just too good. Like the Lord of the Rings "Fly you Fools!" theory, this theory is just a bit of fun that takes a rickety bit of plot and turns it into an opportunity to deepen a character's hidden cunning. It makes wonderful sense.

I think control over cancer is an important technological goal. However, I can certainly see where he is coming from, and I can't really say he's wrong. It's mostly a matter of perspective, and if people adopt that feeling, treatment isn't forced on people.

But at the end of the day, "curing cancer" isn't really about curing cancer. It's about the science and possible technology and treatments which solving that problem could create.

And to top off the round table of ideas, fighting cancer to live is one of the most strengthening things a person can do if they manage to succeed, and it should generally be encouraged, but ultimately those decisions and their implications rest on the shoulders of the individual.

The sad thing is despite all of these "time saving measures", I imagine their bosses were hassling them for taking too much time. Time is money!

The only one that made me actually laugh was the first one with the oven plastered to the front of the truck. That was legit funny to me. The rest just seemed... incredulous. I stand by my earlier statement though. Even doing all that horrible stuff, they were probably still hounded for being late.

those are pretty funny.. the funniest one I saw was in the Thai release of Ong-Bak. which was entirely in thai, and a few times when extras were talking in the background, the closed caption just said "[Speaking in Thai]"

This sort of seems like Lemarcksism. The idea that stretching to reach leaves caused giraffes to evolve their necks. It's got evolution on its head and the wrong way around. If this were true, it would mean that sometime early in homonid evolution, several skull shapes were tried, and the survivor, the design that stuck was the one that didn't get punched to death.

you'd need to see evidence of those stupid punchy designs that failed. You can't look at a finished evolutionary design and guess wildly at what led to it. It's much more likely that the shape of our face is caused by the same thing that crafts it today - a mixture of hormones during growth that happens to work well enough to survive and procreate.

regards to lightning strikes, it is a strange thing that being struck by lightning actually does predispose you to future lightning strikes, ie people who've been struck by lightning are statistically more likely to get struck by lightning again then someone who has never been struck.

it's probably just that some people are more likely to get struck in general and we see this as an increase in strikerate, but it's a little strange, some people are struck many times over the course of their life... and also interesting is that most lightning strikes against people are not fatal.. Many don't leave any real injuries at all.

that's not how mobius strips work, but it might be shot at an angle that hides a twist, but from that picture, not so much.
