Macaroni and Cheese Bologna Tacos in Tomato Sauce

When you stand on the edge of a culinary cliff, you may feel some dark urge to jump. Don't. This is what happens.

A contributor to No Pattern Required found an ancient grimoire of bologna recipes from Oscar Meyer. Alas, she foolishly opened it.

LEGO Meth Lab

Walter and Jesse from Breaking Bad have work to do, but it's going to prove really hard to turn plastic into meth. The mysteries of chemistry must deliver them if they wish to live. A friend of redditor garyisyoudotcom made this wonderful LEGO diorama.

The Street Gymnasts of Ukraine

The lifestyle is part gymnastics, part dance and part contortion. The Turnikmen, as they call themselves, are young men in Ukraine who engage in sometimes astounding moves using simple outdoor equipment. Watch two videos of them in action at the link.

According to police, a woman in San Angelo, Texas put them to a lot of trouble by stealing a truck and then leading them on a chase. But to her credit, she eventually delivered herself and the stolen vehicle right through the front doors of police headquarters:

Paionia Furyokuki's doormat is like a vacuum cleaner for your shoes. As your body weight depresses the knobs on the surface, suction from the air pump pulls away dirt on the bottom of your shoes. They're on sale in Japan for $6,250.

The Gene Simmons Volkswagen Beetle

You're a person of style, class and distinction. You stand out in a crowd. This stately modified 1970 Volkswagen Beetle is the car for you.

I'm not sure what the wig is made of, but I'd guess that it's real human hair.

Live-Action Futurama Opening

(Video Link)

To promote Futurama, Comedy Central made this live action version of the show's opening. The video notes say that it was "made entirely by hand (and tentacle)," so presumably Dr. Zoidberg's considerable cinematic talents were left unused.

Popsicle Replacements: Carrots on Sticks

It was Easter weekend, 1941. Britain's economic resources were stretched to the limit as it tried to fight against the Nazi horde. At home, people made do with what they had.

Here's a carrot on a stick, kid. Now eat.

DeWalt Drill Handgun

This Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun has been modified to look like a DeWalt cordless drill. There's even a place to mount a drill bit. The gun can't drill a hole, but it can make one through other means.

UPDATE 6/21/12: Here's more information. The gun was made by Mark Bilicki and James Oberkirsch. Via Gizmodo.

Customer Reviews for the Iron Throne

As previously noted, you can pay $30,000 plus shipping--or the iron price--to sit on the throne of Westeros. Some customers of HBO's online store, including characters from Game of Thrones, have left product reviews. Jill Pantozzi of The Mary Sue rounded up the funniest. You can read them at the link.

Chandelier Made from Old Globes

I can see this as more of a nightlight than one designed to illuminate an entire room. Hopefully Benoît Vieubled's design inspires sweet dreams of world domination. It's entitled "Monde à l’endroit, Monde à l’envers," which I think means "Right-Side Up World, Upside-Down World."
