When I was a kid, I always longed for a racecar bed. I'm pretty much over that now, but after writing about the amazing beds you can get for your kids these days, I really want a viking ship bed now.
Though I'd also be happy with this castle Murphy bed.
And while I feel a little too old to sleep in a Batmobile bed, I can't help but feel a little jealous of those awesome little kids who do get to have one.

Camping is awesome, but even the biggest enthusiast will agree that sometimes getting away from it all can be a little dirty. That's where the Road Shower comes in. If you're designing a new structure in an area that requires all new buildings have the appearance of a stone facade, but you want to build something different, what do you do? If you're Wiel Aerts Architects, you just make up your own building material that looks like marble but is made from glass.
At least, that's what they did when they designed the Allianz Headquarters. The beautiful marble above is actually glass with multiple layers of white and black dots in it. As if that weren't cool enough, the unique "marble" ends up appearing to be different colors in different lights -as you can see in the images.

Did you know Quentin Tarantino’s birthday was last week? While we’re a little late to the party, we couldn’t miss the chance to honor one of the most celebrated directors of our time, so here’s a roundup of some absolutely delightful fan art based on Mr. Tarantino’s fantastic films.
Quentin has brought a number of memorable characters to life and everyone has their favorites. Here is a small selection of artist Paul Mason’s favorites from different films.
If you ever find yourself in a Quentin Tarantino film and happen to see a briefcase, you might want to just turn away as soon as you see it. Yes, it will probably provide you with the most valuable thing you’ve ever come across in your life, but simply touching the case could probably get you killed before you even have a chance to open it. This minimalist poster by GGGDesign reminds us that sometimes it’s better to look and not touch.
This great piece showing some of Tarantino’s best characters playing as young children is in our own NeatoShop, which means you can even get it in tee shirt form to show your support for Theduc’s tribute to Tarantino.
One of the most famous and most beloved characters of all Tarantino’s films is Jules Winnfield, the bible-quoting, God-fearing thug from Marsellus Wallace’s crew. This painting by Alice X. Zhang shows that Jules is cool like Fonzie even while wearing a baby blue shirt with cartoon characters on it.
For a movie with such an incredible amount of violence, Pulp Fiction has a whole lot of food references. This cool poster set by Pierre-Alain Dubois emphasizes what great American foods are featured in the film.
If you’ve ever wondered what Tarantino’s take on vampires would look like as an animation you might see on Adult Swim, this illustration by Jordi Peters can answer your question. Personally though, seeing this image makes me long to see the whole story in cartoon form.
Do you use the space in your corners -especially the corner where the ceiling meets the wall? Most of us don't, but designer Tuomas Auvine found a clever way to let us use that space with his fashionable and totally functional 45° lights. They look great in the center of a room, but they really are fantastic for utilizing that underused corner space in your home and the light, which shines in a 45 degree angle really floods your living space with warm, comforting light exactly where you need it.

Everyone loves a good view, but if anyone can appreciate the importance of good aestetics, it's a photographer. That's why I'm not surprised in the least to discover this stunning house situated just outside a national park in Wales was commissioned by a photographer.
Aside from looking absolutely stunning and providing unparalleled views of the natural surroundings, this house is also fantastic in the amount of natural light it lets in and the way the walls, made from structural insultated panels, provide a perfect space for the artist to hang up his favorite works.

The Autostadt is essentially a German museum dedicated to car history, design and more. The MobiVersum is the family-oriented part of the attraction, which naturally features a playground to keep younsters entertained. But this isn't just any old collection of slides and swings -it's more like an interactive play sculpture.
The design is inspired by a forest, but it is abstract enough that children may just as easily imagine they are sailing the seven seas, fighting dragons or exploring the galaxy as they climb across tight ropes, crawl up tiny tunnels and slide down -well, slides.
When the kids are played out, they can head to the museum's cooking school or go take a "driving test" where they can earn a children's driving license.
