10 of the Craziest Pokemon Go Stories

The Pokemon Go trend is finally starting to die down a little, so it's a perfect time to collect the strangest stories that have come out in the last few months. Here are some of the ten craziest stories we've come across.

1. Pokemon In the Real World?

Sure, Pokemon Go might be an augmented reality game, but that doesn't stop some people from believing the creatures really are hiding just out of view in the real world. In fact, many pet owners around the globe believe their pets can see the creatures and they've been posting photographic proof to sell their point.

As if that wasn't weird enough, one woman in Moscow claims she was sexually assaulted by a Pokemon. Her report doesn't specify which creature was involved in the assault, but it doesn't matter much since police told her to see a psychiatrist rather than putting an APB out for an augmented reality rapist.

2. Play At Your Own Risk

When you play Pokemon Go, you're warned to pay attention to your surroundings, but that wasn't enough to stop two players in San Diego to ignore trespassing signs and walk right off a cliff in search of Pokemon. While they both survived injuries, the two did make it out alive.

Of course, falling off a cliff is nothing compared to walking over a landmine -which is such a real concern in Bosnia that the government actually issued a warning for players to make sure they don't wander into any minefields, since most of these areas still contain live munitions.

3. The Guy Who Kept Playing Even After Being Stabbed

A guy playing Pokemon Go in Forest Grove, OR was stabbed by someone passing by, but he refused to let that stop him from catching more Pokemon. Instead, he kept playing, walked to a convenience store and bought chips and beer before seeking medical attention. When police arrived on the scene, he even refused treatment so he could keep playing. Eventually, he did go to a hospital, where he confessed, “It’s important to me. I’ve got to basically catch them all."

Instagram user @lauraiz likes to have a little fun with her baby, Joey -and I can't blame her, this baby makes a heck of a fashion model and an incredible Eleven from Stranger Things

Of course, he also makes a prety mean Slash. You don't want to miss out on this pair's delightful costumery.

What's Better Than One Panda Party? A Three-In-One Panda Party

What do you do when three of your friends have birthdays within one week of another? You throw a giant, joint-birthday party. And that's exactly what Washington D.C.'s National Zoo did to celebrate the birthdays of three of their four pandas. Little Bei Bei turned one on Monday (that's not him in the photo since he slept through the cake time).

Bao Bao turns three today.

And pappa Tian Tian turns 19 on Saturday.

It seems safe to say that everyone had a good time, even if little Bei Bei here didn't actually get to eat his own birthday cake.

Crazy Photos From 7-Eleven's Bring Your Own Slurpee Cup Day

Slurpees are delicious. So delicious that sometimes even the biggest officially licensed Slurpee cup still isn't big enough. That's why we love 7-Eleven's once-a-year Bring Your Own Cup Day. Of course, some people don't care about quantity, they care about cup quality...

Now that's some dank Slurpee. And these are only a few of the crazy cups featured on this great list of 7-Eleven BYOCupDay pictures.

Charlie the Chicken Wears the Pants In his Family

(Video Link)

It seems all roosters think they are the cock of the walk, but Charlie the chicken knows how to look good. He lives on Arizona’s Snodgrass family farm and while I can't find any information on why he has pants or where he got them, there's no denying that he looks great in them.

Stupid Apps That No One Needs

You know what you need? An app that can measure how high you throw your phone in the air and lets you compete against players across the globe. Oh wait, you're saying that's a horrible idea and no one needs that? How about an app that tells you if it's dark outside? Or maybe you'd like an app that can help you simulate smoking a cigarette.

So you're saying these are all terrible ideas? Well then, now you're ready to read the rest of this hilarious Thrillist list with some of the stupidest apps ever created.

Don't Believe What You Hear on Those Celebrity House Tours in LA

Even if you've never been to Hollywood, you know that one of the big draws in the city are those celebrity home tours that show you the multi-million-dollar mansions of the rich and famous. Unfortunately for the people paying to go on those tours though, a recent investigation discovered that most of the homes on the tours actually belong to every day non-famous people.

Naturally, some of the tours were more honest than others, with the worst of the bunch completely making up facts -claiming, for example, that Justin Bieber was actually banned from the US. The report did mention that Starline Tours were the best of the tours out there and while they still might tell a few white lies, most of the homes on their tours actually belonged to the celebrities in question.

The Worst Behind-The-Scenes Movie Disasters Ever

Remember that great scene in Titanic where all the extras were running around while high on PCP-spiked clam chowder? No, oh, that's because it happened behind the scenes of the film, but even so, it's still an incredible story that you might never know about just watching the film.

This great All That Is Interesting slideshow (I know, you have to flip through all of the slides -it's not my choice but the information is entertaining) has all kinds of similar, horrible stories from behind the scenes of huge Hollywood films.

Some of the Most Preposterous Pet Hair Cuts Ever

Some animals need their hair cut whether it's because the fur gets tangled too easily or because the pet would get too darn hot otherwise. It's not surprising then that some people figure that if their critter doesn't know what its hair cut looks like -they won't care how ridiculous it is.

While that line of reasoning seems logical enough, a look at the faces of the animals included in this top ten list of worst animal hair cuts know they are being madde to look a fool and they don't appreciate it. I anticipate that a lot of these pet owners are about to find a "present" on their pillow tomorrow.

Cinderella In Emojis

(Video Link)

Disney's Cinderella is a magical classic reminding us what we love about the fairy tale princess story. But if you don't have time to watch it, this adorable version told in emojis does a pretty good job of sumarazing the tale. Of course, that's hardly surprising given that it's made by amazing artists employed by Disney. Now if only I could use my Amazon app to order my own fairy godmother.

Seth Rogen Terrifies Shoppers With Animatronic Food

(Video Link)

When you go grocery shopping, you hardly expect your food to talk back to you, but that's the whole concept behind the new Seth Rogen film Sausage Party. That is why this grocery store prank to promote the movie just makes so much sense. Of course, the reactions of the unsuspecting shoppers are what makes it so darn funny -whether they scream, talk back to the foods or just laugh.

The Unbelievable Balloon Animals of Masayoshi Matsumoto

We're all familiar with your run-of-the-mill dog and giraffe balloon animals, but artist Masayoshi Matsumoto takes balloon tying into a whole new realm of artistry. Each of his intricate animals takes hours to complete and the end result shows that level of detail is absolutely worth it.

Amazingly, this is just Matsumoto's hobby as his real job involves chemical engineering. Right now he doesn't even sell any of his works, he just shares them on his Facebook and Twitter pages for free. It's amazing to think what he will do next and if one day he might consider doing this full time.

The World's Weirdest Food Vending Machines

Looking for some caviar or live crabs, but don't have time to stop at the shop or just simply don't want to deal with people? Then hit the vending machine instead. That's right, these are some of only a few of the totally weird products you can buy in a vending machine these days. If you're not in the mood for expensive snacks, then how about some fresh baked pizza or a baguette? This Thrillist list even features vending machines that sell beer and sausages, so you can Octoberfest like a pro.

Pay Like A Wizard With This Almost-Magic Wand

Samsung Pay seems like magic to some extent -seeing as how you can use it almost anywhere with a wave of your phone. But there's something distinctively "meh" about using your phone to pay -especially when you could be using a magic wand instead.

The Ollivander19 is a brilliant invention that claims to be (and probably is) the first contactless payment wand. And because magic can't be bought, but only inherited, the only way to get one of the eight wands in existence is to win one on the Card Cutters website. So if you think you've got what it takes to do magic, head to the site and try your luck today.

Batman the Cat is the Pet The Internet Deserves -And the One It Needs

Batman was born with four ears -two in front and two in back. He was recently brought into the Western PA Humane Society and his unique looks ensured he was adopted only a few hours after that. Adorably, his new owner is a little girl obsessed with superheroes -fitting not only due to his name, but also because he is a mutant so he could potentialy become the next member of the X-Men. He'll be a super family member, that's for sure.
