Re: lahars. Here in Washington state, towns near potential volcano Mt. Rainer have "lahar alarms" and conduct practice drills getting to high ground; if the mountain ever blows, some places have like 15 or 30 minutes to get out of the way..

No idea if Shatner's being truthful, but it's my understanding a lot of actors don't particularly enjoy watching their finished work. (Michael Caine on Jaws: The Revenge: "I have never seen the film, but by all accounts it was terrible. However I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.")

And Shatner's wrong. He doesn't suck, he's just incredibly egotistical and lazy. They are not the same thing...
