I grew up in central Illinois. The business owner of my high school job said that he knew George's sister. I thought he was kidding me, but it might have been true.
When I was in school, homework did not count much towards the final grade. While lots of it was assigned, if one did well on the test then it did not need to be finished. Has this changed?
I will tell you exactly what I did. During an interview in downtown LA, I was seated facing out a 32nd story window while the prospective client had his back to it. A helicopter took off from a lower rooftop, rose to our height and rotated towards us. It headed straight for the window. As my jaw dropped the interviewer turned around and the chopper turned left. I told him that if it had gotten any closer, I would have pulled him across the desk and out the door. We had a good laugh.
