Anyone in the know want to clue us in on the protocol for handling a chemical fire? Even I know that the wrong thing to do is charge in blind with jets of water.
I shall pray tonight that someone places a plaque on the earthen works stating its purpose. Otherwise some nut job, 2,000 years from now, will declare it to be either a religious monument or a calling card for aliens.
As someone who has put out four industrial fires and pulled a man from a burning automobile, I could also tell you about other times I froze and did nothing. There is no explanation for why or when I did or did not take action.
Just for the hell of it, I tried this with a kitchen knife. Got a cut even cleaner than theirs. No slomo video, however. (Global, in case anyone cares.)
