Even in most general dating sites, it is estimated that 80+% of people seek out their own races. As an Asian I have no real beef with exclusivist dating sites.

I would probably have done the same. 1) I am not a doctor, medic, nurse, or otherwise trained. 2) I hyperventilate in stressful situations. 3) I am scared at the sight of blood and gore. 4) To be honest, I am not inclined to intervene in such situations.

Yes, yes, it does sound callous. I am reminded of the Kitty Genovese case in New York. I am only human.

Which explains the sudden loss of "Frat Pack" comedies that I enjoyed in the early aughts. Comedies are hard to translate, even if the language is understandable. I have a hard time with some subtle british comedies, unlike the more general appeal of monty python.

I got it to work. It's a problem with one of my browser extensions (https-everywhere) forcing SSL connections when the dailydot.com does not have a valid cert, and it's causing the 404's everywhere. I should've troubleshooted the problem.

Watched it. I gave it a 7.5/10. I might give it a better score if I watch it again. It felt more like a homage to the original trilogy (OT) than an independent movie in its own right. I was counting the easter eggs and allusions to the OT most of the time. The story is good, don't get me wrong, and the BIG REVEAL was a welcome surprise since I made sure to avoid spoilers and fan theories. The action scenes were good but not gratuitous like in JJ's Star Trek.

BB-8 was too cute by half, IMO, and does distract a bit. BB-8 is what Jar Jar should have been, eye candy for the kids. Not that Jar Jar failed, my sons love that Rastafarian alien, it's that he is too annoying for the older viewers.

I watched Ep7 on 2D because the IMAX 3Ds were sold out. I may watch it on 3D next weekend when all the fanboys have had their fill.

Maybe the article should note that it's the oldest living 'animal'. Are plants not creatures? As I understand it, creature merely means anything alive. More specifically, the etymology means any living thing 'created' by a deity.

Oh my god, I want that pope Francis figurine! I'll give some to my catholic friends, to my catholic in-laws, and keep about a dozen or so in the house for my catholic wife. I'll even put one on top of the dashboard of my car. I want people to know I have class and sophistication. :)
