Naive, perhaps. Idealistic, arguably. But without ideals, we tend to aim low. Anyway, this 'comic' comes off as mean-spirited, even if "truth-based" (whose truth?). It's like telling Bill Watterson that you can't have a job you love without also suffering for money (Bill: "But...but...I did it"), or Gandhi that you can't throw off a colonial oppressor without violence (Gandhi: "But...but...I -we-did it"). Think about what example they set and what they brought to the world; then think about what this 'comic' brings to the world. Whom do we thank?

That would be a worthy experiment. (I hearted your comment.) But what happens to Black History Month or highlighting the "first Asian American to achieve the rank/post"?

I went to school in the Philippines. The frat boys had a system called "cha-cha": two feet forward means "answer A"; left foot forward, B; right foot forward, C; both feed back, D. Extended multiple choice could be managed as well. The smart frat brother (or the one who studied best) would lead the "dance", his less smart brothers would follow. A similar system could be done with the pen/pencil. Of course, synchronization between students is key. Most students would rather cheat than fail honestly, but I've heard the same from classmate here in the U.S. In the Philippines, as, I surmise, in those countries mentioned in the article, cheating is part of the student culture, if not the culture at large. Were they not taught well? Or "all too well"?

Blame the the cook, the photographer, or the editor that allowed that photo. My son loves pancakes, so I'll be making these, and I think I'll be able to make them look better (i.e., without the appearance of salivary slime!). The trick may be to mix the stuff into the batter so that they aren't exposed. These guys left them on top. Rookies.

Great! and, I fear, too late for me. It's the spouse- and family thing as mentioned in the article. The wife would never willingly get on board with the whole program of Mr. Money Mustache. Oh, the money I have wasted: collecting CDs (as a teen) as if I'd one day have an oldies/classic rock radio station; falling for the pitch for always-and-everywhere mobile data connection; now building a new house to be filled with expensive furniture adhering to a sense of style, mostly because of what a house and its furnishings "ought to" look like. (Same for the car.) I just want a camera and a bicycle. However, I can say that, now that we're in the new house, we have been able to go without subscription TV, and I've downgraded my mobile phone to pre-paid. Feels good.

Or, consumption of whole milk, which has more fat, leads to early satiety, which would curb further eating/drinking. Or, skim milk, lacking fat, has a higher % of calories from milk sugars; together with the missing effect of fat on satiety, kids drinking skim would be taking in more sugar right then.

Why would it be considered paranoid to give your kid skim milk instead of whole? Why would it not simply be reasonable, given that parents who aren't in the relevant research fields wouldn't know that the data would be surprisingly contradictory to the common notion that fat is "bad"?

After I learned that my Italian-American friend from Long Island cut her spaghetti to eat it, I never again bothered with the fork-and-spoon method for eating spaghetti. Although I never bothered with it prior, I do like to know what's "proper" at least. It's a weakness.
