Big O's Comments

I knew people on shows that featured a theme were well prepped with words and phrases for that theme. I guess it stands to reason someone would take it a step or two further. Also knowing that some people spend an inordinate amount of effort to get on those shows.

I figured there was a part of the brain that stored faces and names. I taught school for 32 years and had to learn the names of some 125 new kids every year. As years passed, it became increasingly difficult. Made me think that my face/name area was full.

Brings up the ages old question: does the man make the times or does the times make the man? History may not have changed much at all as there were others who would have stepped into the Hitler role.

I had a college buddy that did that out west in the summer. Sitting on a stool with glass insulators on the legs while a lightning storm is raging takes a lot of nerve.

I remember as a young boy having a hair part on the left side. Later, maybe around junior high I went to a crew cut style with no part that I use somewhat to this day. One thung I'm glad for is good genes from my maternal Grandfather that has me at age 77 with a full head of white hair.

I didn't mention my take on the NY Time Sunday puzzles. They are usually just "large" and sometimes have a neat theme. I agree on the LA Time Sunday puzzles which I also get in my Fort Myers News-Press. They have been pretty tricky lately.

Love my NY Times crossword puzzles. Do them in ink, the only way. Someone asked me what I do if I make a mistake. Of course I told them I don't make any. Lately I don't bother with Monday and Tuesday. Child's play. Wednesdays can have a cool theme. Then we get serious on Thursday and Friday and Saturdays can be real bears. Will is downright devious in his clues, but I'm getting good at figuring them out. All set to do today's that I printed from the Fort Myers News-Press.
